This Purina Tidy cats Lightweight Free & Clean is fantastic for my multi-cat household. The clumping is excellent , forming good clumps that easily scoop. Its impressively 99.9% dust free, which help keep my floors & air much cleaner. No more sneezing for me or my cats around this litter. The unscented formula is perfect for both me (due to my asthma/allergies to strong scents) & my cats. It's super lightweight, making it way easier to carry & pour than traditional litters, especially as I am recovering from fractured ribs! Looks like regular litter, without the weight. Only downside is although package says the perforated plastic is easy to open, only once have I been able to open it with arthritic hands; the rest of the time I have to resort to scissors to open the heavy duty plastic liner. Overall, great value for the money.

Clumps nicely, I really like the absence of scent as scents bothers my allergies. I really appreciate the light weight litter. I am 75 and I admit I have not kept up on my weight lifting so I am thankful for light weight litter. Thank you

I've owned many cats (or should I say they've owned me) over the past several decades. Clay litter had been the only choice, but then thought we would try a more "Eco-friendly" litter. Here is what we have tried up to this point: Wood Pellets Pros: Better smell protection, less expensive, somewhat biodegradable, very absorbent Cons: Turns to sawdust making it hard to just "scoop", cats tracked the dust EVERYWHERE! Paper Litter: Pros: Made from recycled material, no dust Cons: Change more often, not as absorbent, less smell protection, not flush-able Corn Litter: Pros: All Natural, Made from corn, tight clumping which makes is easier to scoop Cons: Humans & cats did not like the smell, more dust than clay Train them to use the "human" toilet Pros: No more stinky litter, no litter-boxes to clean, more Eco-friendly Cons: Couldn't teach my cats to use the toilet using a proven method Purina Tidy Cats Lightweight Litter Pros: 1/2 the weight of regular clay, easy to scoop, excellent smell protection, comes in a cardboard carton instead of the plastic bucket available in local stores Cons: Still tracks like clay Overall, I find the Purina Tidy Cats Lightweight Litter to be an excellent option for litter. It may not be as Eco-friendly as I would like, but it has a decent price, good smell protection and MUCH LESS weight when it comes time to take out the trash.

I love the fact this is light weight and easy to clean, store, and move about from litter box to litter box. The increased size allows two litter trays per month. Interestingly enough, every other month or so, it seems I get a slightly different product that variation color, consistency, and clump ability. The box is exactly the same. When the slightly brown colored litter arrives, it is the better. It is finer in texture, less dust, slight fragrance, clumps slightly better. The grey more clay colored litter feels slightly heavier (maybe denser is more accurate?), clumps less, and offers a more litter migration throughout the house. What I don’t like is the slow trickle of price increases in this product. If it weren’t for the convenience of not having to go to Walmart, I’d probably look elsewhere for a comparable product that is friendlier to the environment and as well received / used by cat and our adopted visitors. Overall, I’m not yet planning to change litters and happy enough with this product.

Love this product for my cat & me. Much easier to lift & lasts as long as the heavier brands. It doesn’t have too much dust so it doesn’t trigger my allergies. Lack of scent also makes my allergies happy. I wouldn’t say it stops smell for 21 days as I change it out completely every 7- 10 days. But no one knows I have a cat when they come over unless they are highly allergic to cats. I do clean my cats litter daily so this too helps.

Let me start by telling you that I have tried several other cat litters and this is the ONLY one I can recommend. After six months of trial and error, trying every brand from Sweet Scoop to Arm and Hammer, Purina Tidy Cat’s unscented is the ONLY litter that gives off no odor and leaves my home smelling completely cat-free! I adore my cat, as most cat people do, but his smelly litter box is not his best feature! I only recommend purchasing the unscented version of this product, as the scented, which I have also tried, does give off an odor that surely indicates that a litter box is present. I love this lightweight version too, because I’m on the second floor apartment of a building in San Francisco, with no elevator, so anything lighter is better for me and my family. I do think that the slightly cheaper, heavier version is also great. I buy both, and as far as kitty litter goes, our prayers are answered. This is the best and only kitty litter you need to try! My cat likes it too, no complaints from Mr. Meow Face, he’s a happy boy. It does track on the floor close to his box, but not too badly. The cleanup is easy. I need to buy a mat to reduce the problem. The other plus is that it’s very easy to clean. It clumps easily and perfectly. Since purchasing this, the kitty litter chore is far easier, and far less loathed by my kid. All around five stars. Look no further!

Okay. This is the litter I've been looking for. Pros: Light weight: I first sought this out for obviously carrying the litter home purposes, but it has other benefits such as the filled litterbox being not as heavy so easier to move to clean around. The spent litter is not has heavy so the trash is not as heavy either. I have 3 cats and OMG I feel like I'm taking out a baby elephant everytime I clean the box, but that's not as much a problem with lightweight litter. Aborbency- Yes. It does it well. The only times it has not absorbed 100% is user error, when my idiot cats decide to pee against the wall of the litterbox. The litter absorbs so well it forms a shell around the area, and the wetness can't seep past to be absorbed, so sometimes I scoop up a ball of stinky pee that is totally still wet on the inside. But if the cats go in the middle of the box, It's all clumped,dry, solid and with no urine odor Scent: OMG! It's TRULY UNSCENTED! I thanked the litter gods when opened the container and was not whooshed with a bunch of "lightly scented, or "almost unscented" but still chemically perfumed litter. I literally laughted out loud and placed another order. I don't want sweet fake smells, I don't want ANY smells, and my cats don't need to breath in perfumes just to take a piss. Cons: Okay. So, I discovered that light litter means light in ALL situations. That means that if some litter gets on the cats foot, then when they jump out of the box, Lightweight litter goes flying everywhere. Litter sticks to cats feet. So, If it's lightweight, it's going to fall off later than sooner and be carried farther from the box than a heavy clay litter. So, Yeah, I'm finding litter further from the box than ever before. Thank goodness I have a good vacuum cleaner. This is the only litter I will buy from now on ( until they change it or it becomes unavailable, that's what happens with all good products eventually)

I got really tired of lifting the heavy stuff and gave this a try. It works just as well and is less dusty but the real difference is the fact that is way lighter. Easier to lift the box to start and easier to scoop. I've been using it for a couple months now and the cats never balked at "the new stuff." I would give it 4 stars if it didn't track out of the box. I have never found a true trackless litter. I can't think of what a cat litter would need in order to get 5 stars -at least from me...

Very lightweight as described! Easy to clean and clumps really well and best part is barely any dust as well for my fur babies. We are very happy with it.

Best cat litter I have ever used. Especially when you have multiple cats. It keeps the odor contained. Issue is my cats throw it everywhere. It's lightweight, but great at its job.
