I am skin type IV on the Fitzpatrick scale. If your not esthetics or Master Esthetics licensed, trained or certified this won't mean as much to you. However, this skin typing scale is very important when it comes to tanning either with or without sun. In my esthetics training, sun is a nice thing, even a very good thing when it comes out survival and that if all life forms on the planet. However, the UV rays are the problem and they are not friendly to our skin no matter how dark or light we are. That said the UV rays in tanning beds are more string and more concentrated to stimulate the melanin in the skin to leading to the effect of a tan hue. Now being as I said a type IV skin which on the Fitzpatrick scale comes in as a skin type that rarely if ever burns in the sun and tans easily and has maybe some or very little or no pigmentation issues such as splotches or marks. Skin tone is often even. This group includes Hispanics, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and some Asian groups. I'm semitic with Israeli, Greek and Russian Jewish background. I have a medium olive complexion. I don't like to be in the sun too much but I can be ok in the sun with my sunscreen on to protect my skin and not have any issues. I prefer to remain out of the sun. I have very good and beautiful,firm, pigmented skin. FYI: The Fitzpatrick scale runs from 1 -6 where 1 isalbino fairest of the fair...no melanin,burn in sun, cannot ever tan..no melanin in the skin,hair or eyes. This group also some very fair Scandansvians who are not albino but simar results in the sun or with tanning. 6 is the darkest of the dark. These individuals have very black skin that it looks almost blue. Their skin is thicker. They produce a lot of melanin. These individuals are very dark Africans from countries like Kenya, Nigeria, Egypt, Haiti, Jamaica, various areas of the Caribbean, various areas of Africa and the Middle East. These people have little to worry about as far as burning in the sun however, too long in the sun for even them can be dangerous to their skin. Nobody no matter how dark you are us immune from skin cancer and sun soars or lesions. Most people, a majority of people have to be careful when it comes down to staying in the sun or for tanning choices. As for these products Bronze and Boost, they are very good option for those individuals who don't want to be in the sun too much or who don't use tanning beds. These products also work well if you are a skin type 3 or type 4. Skin type 3 are German, Eastren Europe, Italian (can be 3 or 4). If you would like to know more of the Fitzpatrick skin typing system, please feel free to inquire or you can read about it on Google. It's a full course lecture in esthetics training. It's very important to know this if you enjoy tanning regardless of your method. Because how your skin type behaves with the sun and UV rays tells an esthetics professional not only a lot but also indicates how successful your tanning will be. I have seen results with these products within a week. If you are type 4 you will see it show up sooner. If you are very fair, it will take more time and more bottles. I got half way thru one bottle and saw it show results. I'm on my third order and it continues to get darker and more pigmented. For those who are fair or very fair it will take longer and more bottles because it has to build up. Just like tanning in the boths it happens in small doses and has to build up over time. The product does work it simply takes time and patience and may require more than or two or even three bottles to see the results you are looking for. Hope this review helps! :)

[UPDATE 1.10.2024]I reached out to MyTan and they recommended going to 4 soft gels daily.I did that until I depleted the supply. I unfortunately cannot report any difference in my skin tone.It may work better during the summer when I am taking on more sun. But for a winter solution ... it didn't make the cut for me. I am disappointed as I was really hoping this could be a nice option from sun bathing.Perhaps it only works for the fairer skinned.[UPDATE 12.10.2023]I am about 2 1/2 weeks into taking this product.I really wanted to be able to report something.But so far, absolutely no results. I have used this product for 3 summers now. I start in mid May taking2 daily pills and continue every day taking them until the end of Sept. I am now limiting my time in the sun, (unlike in the past where I was definitely a “sunbather”),and find that these pills help in both accelerating your tan in early summer, and also help in keeping a tan all summer. You do need to go out in the sun on a regular basis to keep up the tan, but not for long periods. For example, 20 minutes -1/2 hour 4-5 times per week (wearing sun lotion and not at peak sun hours) allows me to have a very good tan which looks natural, is not orange at all, but frankly is not even close to the tan on the man shown on the bottle/packaging which is totally over the top anyway. I have never had any side effects from taking these pills. I am female, White with fair/peachy colored skin that tans pretty quickly with no sunburn if I use sunblock. Once you stop taking the pills or don’t go out in the sun, your tan will fade. I recommend them highly and will continue to use them for many years. They are definitely worth the price and very easy/convenient to use.

I was pleased with the color of the tan. It did take about 8 weeks but preferred that to damaging my skin when I was preparing for an occasion when I would have neck and shoulders showing. BUT if you have very light hair it will darken your hair. I have waist length white hair that into the second bottle suddenly turned light brown. I grow my hair long to cut and donate. Now I have about 16” of slightly faded brown hair with about 8 “ silver white roots showing exactly when I quit taking the pills. If you don’t like your graying hair this might just be good for you and it would be natural looking.

I didn't expect these to work. I hoped that they would, but my expectations weren't very high. I did NOT become tan by using these the last two weeks, but I'm still happy with my purchase due to the results I was able to achieve!I am very fair and live in Florida. I gave up tanning a long time ago because it's terrible for your skin, as we all know. But I missed having a healthy glow and not looking like the walking dead. I read the reviews for these pills and thought that most of them that claimed they worked were probably BS. The before and after pic of that one guy is hilarious due to the different lighting, angles, and obvious help he had from the sun. I figured I would by my own bottle and try it out, knowing I could get my purchase plus shipping refunded if I wasn't happy. I also set out to take some reasonable before and after pics.In the first pic, I have not yet used the product. In the second pic, it is day 14 and I have taken 4 raisin sized pills per day. I took each pic at the same time of day, in the same room, with no makeup on. As you can see, I'm obviously not tan. However, my husband and a couple of friends have commented that I look like I have a "glow" (I'm 100% not pregnant) and that my skin looks really healthy. Personally, I see what they are saying and I'm inclined to agree. I have the betacarotene blush that comes with using this type of product, a side effect that has been well established in scientific circles. It might be easier to notice if you compare how my neck looks in each picture, as it seems more pronounced there than on my face.I've ordered another two bottles directly from the manufacturer (a great savings) and I hope that the warm golden effect this has had on my skin continues.

It works for some, but not for me. At 8 weeks and there is absolutely no change in color. I even tied doing 4 as many said and there was no change. Really was hoping to see results to avoid the sun yet get a little color. Some thing will work. Till then, sunscreen.

Took the whole bottle during the summer, I got tan from laying out! Was hoping for a kickstart from these. Save your money and get a spray tan and take beta carotene.

I use these tablets about 1 week before I go on holiday and then every day in the evening once I am there. Since I have been taking them I have noticed that my tan stays a long time once I have returned home and so many compliments my tan since taking these tablets. I am naturally fair haired but my skin tans a lovely golden colour and I have noticed that I did not burn last holiday or peel. Always use SPF as these tablets do not have sun protection. Easy to take and for me, definitely noticeable golden tan

Two tabs a day. Put a soft,warm glow on my skin. I am Lilly white usually and cannot tolerate too much sun. With limited sun exposure i can maintain that glow. Ive purchased twice from this seller and hope to purchase again

Did absolutely nothing. Taken for weeks and weeks now. No change at all.

No Agenda here before I start, just a honest review.I'm going to be told how everyone's different and what don't work for me works for someone else yeah....I get it.However like everyone else I paid good money for these 'tanning pills' so would at least expect to see some small changes in skin colour tone.....but no...not me 😒Hold on to your wonga guys as this was a complete waste of time and money.

Amazed with the results of a natural tan.Better tan when skin expoaed to the sun in short periods.
