Amazing value for money. I can't compare it to Layton as I have never experienced that fragrance, but I adore the smell of Detour Noir, and definitely agree that it is much akin to apple pie with vanilla ice cream. To me it is heavenly. My first initial impression was not as positive, but after a few weeks of maceration, the scent improves immensely and to me, it is now easily one of my favourite fragrances. The bottle is hideous in design though, atomiser is great. Lasts a good amount of time on skin and on clothes.

OK, I see a lot of people saying it doesn't last. Listen I've just ordered this and went nose blind 1st time because it is actually strong. The 2nd day I applied it I tried the smallest spray from further away and I didn't even give it a full press and I noticed it was 100x better using it that way. It clearly is strong and on the first day I said I went nose blind I know this because I could hardly smell it then today spraying much less actually stopped me going nose blind and it does smell like Layton, I own Layton also and had around 5-10ml left abs ordered this. I won't go buying Layton now. Its 90-95% similar and the opening is almost identical. The dry down is also nice, Heard "experts" say it can be slightly synthetic? Nonsense is smells amazing. There Is a good reason why this stuff gets close to 5/5 stars !!!! It's basically Layton ... without the huge price tag. It also lasts on the skin. As I say 1st time I used too much went nose blind and the next day I could smell it still strong on my arm inside elbow. That's how I know i was nose blind and using much less spray actually is better because you can smell it better although projection is only about 2 feet for 5 hours. Walk past someone close and they will smell it 6 hours later even if you think they can't. Sorry long msg I was so hesitant to buy this because of mixed comments but I will prob buy a more misty atomiser and decant mine into another bottle to spray more of a fine mist because its absolutely stunning the smell of it. I own lots btw from top end Niche to designer affordable brands.

Initial spray is a syrupy mess. 15 minutes in the Layton comes in. I can't comment on longevity yet but by the intensity of the smell I'd say the bottle I received was not watered down by any means. I suspect it will stick on clothes for an eternity. As usual, if you're not quite happy with default longevity, I'd recommend applying a bit of petroleum jelly on your neck. Presentation 1/5 extremely ugly with plastic and very cheap feeling cap Scent initial spray 3/5 syrupy and overwhelming with lavender and violet almost suffocated by the piercing and sweet vanilla Scent 15 minutes and beyond 5/5 settles down and you can distinguish certain notes more easily such as geranium, mandarin and cardamom. Silage TBA edit a good 6ft bubble for around 4-5 hours after which gives good whiffs for the rest of the day Longevity TBA edit full day 😊 Atomiser 3/5 more difficult to spray than almost any other atomiser in my collection. Sprays a very fine mist of perfume. As I am writing this I think the atomiser might be actually a nice 4 - you have some great control over the amount of perfume you apply.

The perfume is really good quality except the initial blast. Just after 1 min of spray it becomes a really nice fruity and sweet scent. However, unfortunately I received a defective bottle. Liquid is accumulated around the atomizer, it looks like a leak. Will have to return this bottle, but I'm surely going to buy again straight away.

Disappointed overall. Inoffensive but compared to the reviews on here, it's far from what was expected. 5/10.

Smells very complicated, has a scent profile which is warm, sweet and spicy.

I really like this fragrance. I would say it’s more of a fall maybe leaning more towards a winter fragrance. It gives me wood cabin on a chilly but sunny day with snow on the ground. Hot chocolate and great coversation. It opens up with a slightly fruity yet fresh apple and jasmine with hints of mandarin or some other kind of citrusy middle notes that linger in the air. Which last a good hour or two. During this time duration the middle notes start to fill the air around 20 minutes of your first application creating a warm, powdery, woody, aromatic aroma where the vanilla, bergamot and patchouli start to be the star of the show. Mixed with Subtle hints of the top notes like the lavender and mandarin will still surprise you hear and there and this will be your main scent. It’s a great scent. Real cozy yet spontaneous. The base notes/cool down aroma gives off a warm, spicy, musky ambiance to initiate the “get close” phase of the fragrance. Sandlewood, geranium and guaiac wood set this tone. You can get slight scents of pepper too. The packaging isn’t the greatest so if your a collector or connoisseur you will most likely be shelving this unique sleek bottle by itself. It looks really sophisticated and classy. It takes me to a white collar male who is a big shot and drives a Ferrari. The cap, well at least mine, is very loose so you can just take it off with ease. I’m not sure if that is by design of faulty but either way it’s a good quality of life. It seats properly it’s just something I thought I would mention so you don’t grab the bottle by the cap and end up dropping the bottle. Has a vaporisateur nozzle so you will get great application and coverage with the amount of mist it gives off. I am a one to two spray applicator so this is perfect for me. Gives me longevity with the fragrance and there’s no need to over saturate the scent since it doesn’t have a stream spray. You get a good 100ml or 3.3 fl. oz. That can easily last you 6-12 months. Even longer depending on your application. Overall this fragrance is fresh enough to be a daily on the go, go to scent yet subtle enough to be occasional for more smooth, chill, inviting settings. I would still emphasize I feel this is more of a fall/ winter fragrance. I would recommend. You can’t lose based on the pricing alone

Desde la primera pulverización, Detour Noir transmite elegancia y carácter. Es una fragancia intensa pero equilibrada, con una apertura cálida y especiada que evoluciona hacia un fondo dulce, cremoso y ligeramente amaderado. La combinación está muy bien lograda y se siente mucho más cara de lo que realmente cuesta. La duración es excelente: en piel supera fácilmente las 8 horas y en ropa permanece incluso más tiempo. La proyección durante las primeras horas es notable, dejando una estela atractiva sin resultar excesiva. Es un perfume que llama la atención y recibe cumplidos. Me parece especialmente adecuado para otoño e invierno, así como para salidas nocturnas o eventos especiales, aunque también puede usarse en el día si se aplica con moderación. Tiene una personalidad envolvente y sofisticada. Por su calidad, rendimiento y precio, merece sin duda las 5 estrellas. Una compra totalmente recomendable.
