I only eat tuna once in a while. This brand seems to be the one that is always fresh tasting without the "fishy" taste. It's flavored with spices that are pleasant and make prep time minimal. The pouches are great for snacking with crackers and a piece of fruit. No need to carry all the spices etc. with you. Chill in the frig. before opening. Easy to take to work or on a road trip. Easy clean up. Plus this is a fairly healthy protein! There are other flavors, so try them all. I even use these pouches when I make a larger amount of tuna salad, it saves me time. Maybe a bit pricey, it's a trade off for me.

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this because I'm pretty particular about tuna. I normally won't eat tuna salad unless I've prepared it myself, exactly the way I like it. I bought this because I needed a convenient way to get some protein when I'm on the go, and I was honestly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Not how I would make it but it comes ready made and good enough for a quick snack on the go. Better for car camping or a snack while hiking. One perk is that it is mild and doesn’t have extra flavor, bland in an acceptable way—good for those with sensitive palates.

I will try to be as honest as possible because I depend on other people's reviews and feel I want to help the best I can: Arrived as described. I eat these Tuna Fish packs almost daily for lunch. I usually eat two and maybe 3 packs at a time. Always looking for new flavors. There are so many flavors available that no matter your mood, there is always something for me to enjoy. Great Value for the money compared to anything else I could eat that is similar in size and calories and healthiness. A perfect size allowing me to choose how many I need to eat to be satisfied. Top quality and consistent taste. Easy to open with a pair of scissors, although it's made to be ripped by hand, I usually struggle doing that. I love this flavor. I Recommend. Good Luck.

I purchased these as they are ready to eat, very portable and easy to use anywhere with no special opening utensils. With that in mind, these pouches meet those expectations. The issue is that while StarKist Ready-to-Eat Tuna Salad does not taste bad, it just isn't delicious. I really like tuna. I can eat it just plain or with a little salt and be happy with it, but if it is going to have other ingredients in it, they need to complement and enhance the tuna. One of the reasons I chose this product, outside of the portability, is that it has celery and water chestnuts so I thought it would have a bit of crunch, but it just isn't there. The combination of onion powder and mustard flour also sound like they would give the tuna salad a little pep, but no... It's pretty flat. I will say that the texture if you want a non crunchy tuna salad, is nice. The egg yolk and other wet ingredients are just enough to give the tuna a nice body, spread and mouth feel. The salad is not overly wet and definitely not dry in any way, shape or form. Just enough moist. For me I find that I need to take the product out, put it into another dish and start adding things to bring it up to where I would be happy enough to eat it. At that point I feel that it just isn't worth it as I would rather just make the tuna, at home, the way that I like it and find another portable method or just go with another food item all together.
