TR604 AM FM Radio, Portable Radio Plug in Wall(Black)

Love this radio! Great. Small size but not too small. Excellent sound quality. Easy to use. So glad I purchased. Highly recommend.

Great little radio. Bought this for an elderly man who struggles with electronics. The dials are simple. The sound is fine. A good investment for a low price. The battery backup is a plus. I tested it in my basement and the sound was still clear so I am going to buy another one to keep in my storm shelter.

If you are looking for a sturdy portable radio with decent quality sound, this is it! I like listening to the AM band, and the reception for AM isn't good where I live so a radio with poor reception capability becomes real obvious. So far, my Sony and Panasonic radios work awesome. Needless to say, both AM and FM receptions are superb. I'm not into testing each radio for its sensitivity but more for its practical use. And the Retekess TR-604 is a superb radio! It has a very big and decent speaker with a sensitive DSP turner that locks into weak signals with ease. You can easily fine tune it unlike some other DSP radios. This radio takes 3 - "D" size batteries so it should have a very long battery life even with non-alkaline batteries. Unlike some of the newer Sony and Panasonic radios, the Retekess has hi & low tone control knob. I prefer it on the low since the high makes the sound too tinny. Besides that, the design and build are straight forward and sturdy. For a radio under $20.00, I'd say this is a very good deal.

Not a bad sound. Wish they were clearer about batteries. I think they are C??? Sound isn't bad and actually with the price quite good. Easy to figure out. Minor complaint, the cord is too short for me, maybe at best 2 feet. I decided to cut the cord with greedy internet company and use my phone hot spot but I still wanted to listen to NPR without using data. So this radio fills the bill. Nice size. Not too small and not huge.

Nice little radio. Perfect for a power failure. Good sound. Good reception for stations within my area. Good deal.

This little radio is simple, good quality and easy to use. Very sensitive tuner. Great for emergencies, camping, or work radio. Not a cheap made radio. Exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommended.

Just got this. Plugged it in and turned it on. Works great. Good sound. Easy to use. My old one quit working. This is a great replacement.

I can't speak for whether this particular unit was defective or not, but my overall experience with the radio is a mixed bag. The radio looks good. The controls are very simple and straight forward. It's relatively easy to tune as long as the signal is strong. The radio locks in on any strong station that is close to to the position of the dial. This means it will be surprisingly easy to find your station as long as the signal is strong and there are no immediately adjacent stations. However, that's where things begin to turn. Even with a strong signal, I was unable to fine tune it to eliminate the noise at the top-end. There was always some static on the output. Set side-by-side with other radios, it was quickly apparent that this is a limitation or an issue with this radio and not with the availability of the signal. Second, I would occasionally turn on the radio and find it would lock in on an adjacent station, not the station it had been playing prior to being turned off. No, there had been absolutely no fiddling with the tuning dial in the interim. Now, we have an issue that some people (myself included) will find intolerable. Even when completely turned off, there is ALWAYS an AC (60Hz) hum coming from the radio! Best case, this means high parasitic draw and higher electric bills (and potentially faster battery usage!). Worst case, it indicates a real issue with the unit or possibly even the design itself.

Very pleased with the product even though the price is on higher side. Its signal reception (myself staying in Kalyan region of Maharashtra state), appearance, size are very impressive. The only drawback is that it functions on 110 volts for which steps down voltage converter is required.

I bought this radio for an elderly gentle man who is 89 years old. The knobs are large and easy to use if you have a shaky hand. Also like that it is not complicated. When it arrived and we gave it to our family member we were impressed with the sound quality for the price. It runs on batteries or electricity. My Grandson also wanted a radio for Christmas so we also bought this radio. He walks around with it everywhere. We are well into March and he still uses it every day and is still happy with it. Then we wanted a radio for ourselves that can run on batteries as we have a fair amount of power outages. All 3 arrived on time, in good shape. Would recommend this radio.

Sintoniza todas as rádios de minha preferência!! Recomendo!!

Buena calidad de recepción, fácil manejó para gente mayor

As a customer, I might have made a wrong decision, but Amazon, as an organization, allowing 110V equipment in India shows Amazon's greed. My mother plugged this radio into a 220V supply and could not use this radio for even a day.
