what does "body only" mean

Body only means no battery and no charger. The idea of the ONE+ system is that you buy the battery and charger once and they can then power a range of different tools and appliances.

Does the 'new version' fold for storage like the 'old version'?

Mine just arrived, and no it does not fold. There are bolts halfway down the handle you can unscrew, and bolts that hold it into the mower body that can be unscrewed, both with plastic handles so it is easy to do without tools, but it is not designed to fold. Also if you have clipped the cable to the handle you will need to unclip this to remove the handle.
