One of those products that earns permanent shelf space if you reuse jars or containers regularly
I do a lot of cooking experiments, fermentation, food preservation, and general container reuse, so I’m constantly stripping labels and adhesive residue off glass jars and bottles. For that kind of work, Goo Gone has become one of those products I always keep on hand. The biggest thing to understand is that Goo Gone is excellent at certain types of adhesive cleanup, but it’s not a miracle chemical that instantly dissolves every label known to mankind. In my experience, it works best on softer adhesive residues: * sticker residue * shipping labels * tape adhesive * price tag glue * greasy sticky films For those kinds of jobs, it’s incredibly effective and often saves a huge amount of effort. There are plenty of labels where water, dish soap, and scraping alone simply are not enough, and Goo Gone turns an annoying cleanup project into something manageable. Where it struggles more is with older dried adhesives or pasted-on paper labels that have basically fused themselves to the container over time. For those, I usually have better luck starting with a long hot soak, sometimes with OxiClean or TSP, before coming back with Goo Gone afterward. It’s best viewed as the first-line solution, not necessarily the nuclear option. My usual process is: 1. Remove as much paper or label material as possible 2. Apply Goo Gone 3. Scrub initially 4. Let it sit briefly for stubborn residue 5. Come back for a second pass if needed I also frequently use a razor scraper on glass containers, which works extremely well in combination with Goo Gone, though obviously be careful because oily residue plus wet glass can get sketchy fast. One thing I appreciate is that the smell is actually fairly pleasant compared to harsher solvents. It does leave behind an oily residue though, so you absolutely need to wash items with soap and water afterward. I regularly use it on food-contact containers, but always fully hand wash or dishwash them afterward before reuse. I also keep both the liquid and spray versions around because they each have advantages. The liquid version works great when applying directly to a paper towel for targeted scrubbing, while the spray is much more convenient for larger areas where you want the product to soak for a bit. Compared to stronger solvents like acetone, Goo Gone feels much gentler and easier to work with. Acetone is my “last resort” option because it’s harsher and less forgiving. Goo Gone is usually my first choice because it handles the majority of adhesive cleanup jobs without immediately escalating to aggressive solvents. I’d put it generally in the same category as Goof Off, though I personally reach for Goo Gone first most of the time. A little also goes a surprisingly long way. The only minor annoyance I’ve had is that pouring from the bottle onto a paper towel sometimes leads to a little drippage, though cleanup is easy enough that I’ve never considered it a serious issue. Overall, this is one of those practical utility products that quietly becomes indispensable once you start using it regularly. If you repurpose jars, remove labels often, or deal with adhesive residue on a routine basis, it absolutely deserves a spot in the toolkit.

Nothing Beats the Original Goo Gone
You really can’t beat the name-brand Goo Gone, and this Pro Power version is exactly why. I’ve tried several off-brand adhesive removers over the years, and honestly, they just do not work nearly as well. This stuff works quickly and consistently every time. I mainly use this to remove labels from bottles and containers that I want to reuse, and it makes the job incredibly easy. A small amount loosens the adhesive fast, the label peels right off, and any leftover sticky residue wipes away without a fight. No excessive scrubbing, no frustration. It’s also nice that it’s surface safe and doesn’t damage the bottles or leave behind a harsh smell once cleaned. A little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts quite a while. Pros: Works far better than generic alternatives Removes labels and sticky residue easily Fast-acting and effective with minimal effort Great value since a small amount goes a long way Cons: None for my use case, other than the fact my wife doesn't like the strong smell. If you regularly deal with labels, stickers, or stubborn adhesive, this is one of those products that’s absolutely worth buying. Goo Gone just works—and this Pro Power version delivers exactly what you expect.

silicone caulk removal
i wanted to see if this would help with 100% silcone caulk removal. it did! after using a plastic razor to get the bulk of the caulk off i applied goo gone liberally on stuck caulk and let it sit for 10-15 minutes. went back with the scraper and more did come off. after a couple of application i was satisfied with the surface prep. you just have to take your time and let the product do its job. i am very happy with the results. fyi, this was done on a fiberglass shower stall to install a new shower door. it didn't take the old silicone 100% off but enough to allow everything to sit flush and accept new caulk.

My comments are true and accurette.
I have used this product before, and I can't say enough about it. It gets the job done without any problems. The price is very reasonable, especially for a dependable product that you can always rely on for amazing, reliable results. I highly recommend this product and this seller, who offers great service.

Works if you follow these steps!!!
I bought this because I had duct tape adhesive on my car and I couldn’t get it off. Alone, it doesn’t come off. I had to take a hair dryer and heat up the adhesive on my car, then pour this on a microfiber cloth and hold it on the adhesive to let it soak in. Then, I took a plastic scraper and used it to scrape the adhesive off then took a wet paper towel and wiped off the excess and remaining oil from my car. It worked perfectly. And didn’t disturb the clear coat or paint.

Amazing
This stuff is fantastic. Pulled up a bunch of tile in my basement, and the concrete was covered in extremely stick adhesive. Nothing would get it off, hot water, cleaners, vinegar, paint stripper, nothing I tried. And all those things left terrible toxic smells. This stuff completely removed the adhesive in one overnight use, and left nothing that needed to be scraped up. It smells citrusy which wasnt bad either. This stuff is far better than any industrial adhesive stripper.

Works Better than Advertised!
I wasn’t sure this was going to work, especially because it’s not advertised to actually do this.. But I used it to clean dried oil paint off the laminate floor in my paint studio. After first testing on a surplus piece and seeing no ill effects, I decided to go for it. Quite honestly I was really surprised at the results! No hard scrubbing, no waiting a long time for it to work…. With almost no effort this stuff cleaned dried oil paint residue off my laminate floor and left it looking virtually brand new! In my experience, unfortunately, plant based products often have disappointed me. But not so in this case! No harmful fumes or hard work. And, a little goes a long ways. In an age when things seem to perform worse and worse, this product is leading by example.

Powerful glue remover
I used it to remove glue left behind by duct tape. It was really too sticky. This product easily removed all glue without leaving any trace. I didn't have to scrub too hard as well and all the glue came off easily. It seems to be fairly concentrated as I had to use only a very small quantity for a large area. I would truly recommend this as a very effective product at a very good price.
