will this heater work for 150 gallan aquarium?

From my experience, I would say yes, if you had one at each end of the tank, and good flow.

I Installed as per directions in tank Getting error code. Any ideas how to clear?

Make sure its completely under water before you plug it in. Unplug it for a min. To see if it resets. Mine is working just fine
