If you use Adobe CC apps, then this is a great deal
I use Illustrator every day. I've tried many other programs over the years, and Illustrator is by far my favorite. I had an annual student-teacher subscription that I got direct from Adobe last year, during the Black Friday sales, and it happened the one-year commitment happened to end yesterday, so they automatically renewed this month at the full price. I happened to see the Black Friday deal here on the student-teacher version, and it's a better deal than getting it direct from Adobe - you save around $42 for the year. I called Adobe to cancel my current subscription, and they refunded the month that I just paid for. Then I activated this license that I just purchased from Amazon. It can be difficult to figure out how to add this to your existing account, so here are the instructions: ** Before making your purchase, make sure that you meet the eligibility requirements for the Student-Teacher edition (if that's the version you're getting). Check Adobe's website for this information. ** If you have an existing subscription, cancel it. You can cancel it and get a pro-rated refund for this month if you previously purchased an annual plan or an annual plan paid monthly at least a year ago. If your year isn't up, I believe you will just end up having overlapping subscriptions, which may still be worth it. If in doubt, call Adobe (get the number from their website) ** Select the product options you want - make sure that they're correct, and make your purchase. I chose the one-time purchase, since it will autorenew at the non-Black Friday rate. **After making the purchase, if the Your Orders page doesn't come up, you can just go to that page. ** Next to the purchase info for the product. click on Go To Your Software Library. You should see all of your software digital download purchases - this newly-purchased subscription will most likely be the first one. ** Select and copy your Product Key. ** You should see a "How To Redeem This Item" link directly above the Product Key. Click on it and follow the instructions. You will be able to paste the Product Key. ** You will need to fill in your eligibility information if you purchased the Student-Teacher version. You will then need to confirm your eligibility, if you don't have something on file with Adobe already. It might confirm it for you automatically if you use an email from your academic institution as the email for your Adobe acct. ** When you get to the point where it asks for a credit card, just click on Remind Me Later since it's prepaid. It won't autorenew a year from now without a credit card on file, and that's probably what you want, because if it autorenews, you won't get the Black Friday discounted plan. A year from now, you'll be able to take advantage of next year's Black Friday deals, whether from Amazon or direct from Adobe - just check to see who's got the best prices.

Does not link, does not activate, does not work.
Good luck getting help with this. It either works right away, or it does not. Adobe Tech support is COMPLETELY, TOTALLY AND UNQUESTIONABLY USELESS. If this does not link with an email address / account, it will never work. You will just need to get a refund. I tried 3 times, and three times doesn't work. Amazon agent says to call Adobe, Adobe agent says to call Amazon. There is no solution to this. See screenshot of issue. >I tried creating "new" adobe accounts with new email addresses unknown to adobe. Does not work. >I tried connecting it to "existing account". Does not work. >I tried connecting to "existing email". Does not work. >I tried changing the password to Amazon and Adobe account, does not fix anything. Using same address as Amazon account does not work. The problem is - I bet they won't let you renew using Amazon. I had a subscription expire in October 2025. Tried twice to renew when it went on sale in October. Did not work. Then again, I tried it again one month later (November 2025) - still does not work. I bet they only allow you to buy this ONCE through Amazon with a discount (or at all) and then never again, unless directly through Adobe. I am not doing that, I want my discount. Google / Adobe claim that you can renew using Amazon, has not worked. The only "remedy" is a refund, which obviously gets the money returned, but that means access to the software is never going to happen. Trying again doesn't fix anything. Just get the run around from Adobe>Amazon>Adobe and nothing is ever fixed. Spent two hours+ on this, frankly they should give me money due to the time and energy I have wasted on this. The error: Vendor notified us the account associated with that email address is not eligible for this product. To create an account, please use a different email address.

Adobe is top tier
As an avid photographer and student I buy this instead of monthly payments, it’s completely worth it! I hate that they have made their prices so expensive but adobe is top tier when it comes to editing and lots of us student need it. I only buy when it’s on sale but yeah it’s adobe at a fraction of the cost for a year

A Must Have For Photographers
There are numerous photo processing software options. I had been using Lightroom 6.0, not wanting to pay an annual license fee. All I can say is, "Do it!" Many more tools (including some you'd find on Photo Shop Elements). I don't think I've had to use PS for the last year (that's must me)

Good value but odd subscription and account management
As an existing subscriber of the Lightroom only plan looking to upgrade for Photoshop, I purchased this plan. The description was not clear on how it would change my existing subscription. This is my experience… After completing the order in Amazon, the new subscription starts right away. There is no product key or option to activate later. Amazon has a page to manage the subscription to link to your existing Adobe email or cancel the subscription. Once you link your Adobe account, this creates a new plan in addition to your existing plan. So my Adobe account has both the Lightroom plan that renews monthly and this new Photography plan that renews annually. My cloud storage also went up to 2TB. I cancelled my existing monthly Lightroom plan, which is not prorated or refundable. It’s active for two more weeks but there’s no benefit since the new Photography plan has all the same features. I lose out on what I paid for. I assume upon the final cancellation date my storage will go back to 1TB. If you were already on the Photography plan, I’m not sure if this would extend your existing subscription or create a 2nd photography plan. But as someone who had the Lightroom only plan this created a new plan. This worked out OK for me since I was upgrading plans anyway but know what you’re getting into. Overall the purchasing and linking experience was easy and trouble free but the way the subscription is handled is odd and not consumer friendly. I was hoping for a product key I could punch into Adobe’s site to start the subscription.

Still no redemption code. Amazon blames Adobe and Adobe blames Amazon.
I have been trying to activate my Adobe Creative Cloud for weeks now (off and on until I get frustrated). It is getting so frustrating that I cannot get it to work. Talked to Amazon and they say it's Adobe's problem. I talked to Adobe and the state that it's Amazon's issue. All I know is that I paid for Adobe Creative Suites and I still don't have working Adobe programs. Currently, I am NOT impressed with either company. Was the reduced price on Adobe Creative Cloud just a SCAM on both parties!!!! I can get as far as "Successfully assigned license." on Amazon, but when I select my Adobe account, I receive the message "There was an error attempting to activate your subscription. Please try again.". I still have not received the redemption code needed for my Adobe account and contacting either help line seems to be a waste of time and patience!!!!
