Rapid Charger for Fast Charging Hd Hdx 6" 7" 8.9" 9.7" 11" Max Tablet and Phone Tab Power Supply Cord UL Listed

I ordered this charger to replace an original Amazon short cord with charger which would no longer stay tight in the usb connection on my Kindle 8 HD. The cord I replaced had become very loose and I had to run it up through the camera lens opening on my protective case and only pull through enough of the cord to ensure that I could plug it in. Because it was a short cord, when I was charging at night while reading, the wall plug got hot enough to almost burn me, even when I plugged it directly into the wall, but I usually had to plug it in to either a surge protector or an extension cord that was in turn plugged into the surge protector. This charger arrived on time, and was exactly as described. I plugged it into my surge protector at my bedside, and because the cord is 6.5 feet, I don't need an extension cord, which takes away the risk of setting my bed on fire, although the plug in doesn't get hot. It charges my Kindle faster than the original cord and charger plug that came with my Kindle. At the time I got disgusted with the cord I was using and ordered this one, it was taking about 6 hours to completely charge my device. With this charger, I am getting charges during the day while I'm using the Kindle much faster. When I started writing this review, I was at 36%. In the few minutes it has taken me to write this, I am up to 43%. I can get a full charge from less than 20% to 100% in a few hours. One thing that is different from the chargers provided by Amazon when you purchase a Kindle is that the adapter and charging cord are one piece, which means that if you want to charge your device with a car charger or if you need to transfer data via USB, you will have to purchase a separate micro USB cord. I am extremely happy with this charger. It is the best I've ever had and charges faster than anything I've tried.

I bought one of these chargers in February and was completely pleased with it--a great cure for the short charger cord that came with my new 10-inch Kindle. I am disabled and order groceries and household items and generally try to keep up with what's going on in the outside world all on my Kindle and I loved this charger. It's fast, has a long cord, and a blue light that guides me like an airport beacon to my bedside in the dark. But after the return period expired so did my cord. The black sheath separated from the plug on the Kindle end exposing the wires and they quickly began to fray. I was pretty disappointed when I had to toss it in the trash. I didn't really expect much when I decided to complain to PWR+ about the problem with the cord, but I complained anyway. I think if you're getting ready to write someone a bad review you should at least let them know in advance that you had a problem, even though most companies nowadays have terrible customer service. To my pleasant surprise, PWR+ jumped right on my complaint immediately. They worked this out with me via Amazon, and zipped a new charger out to me ASAP. I am so pleased with this company's response to a very small customer like me and I can't say enough good about them. They have earned my loyalty and I won't hesitate to order from them again.Good job, PWR+!!! (By the way, I have been watching the cord I was using as a stopgap measure, and I'm wondering if the fault might lie with my new Kindle. The charger plugs in at the top, and if you're using the Kindle while you're plugged in the angle seems to put a lot of strain on the connection. That can't be good for the cord or the plug-in on the Kindle. I'm going to be worried that my Kindle is gonna develop charging issues. I'm on my fifth one, and they can't seem to decide where the charging cord should plug in. I think the top is a pretty bad place for it. It's a nuisance, and maybe even a design flaw. Amazon needs to address this problem and fix it once and for all. I'm tired of having charging problems!)

I bought this so I wouldn't have to recharge my Kindle through my computer. It works quite well - fully charges it overnight. Long enough that it can be plugged into the wall and I can sit a few feet away in a chair and still use the Kindle while it's charging. Only thing I would change is I'd prefer the green light on the device would go out when the Kindle is fully charged. Not a deal breaker - just a suggestion for future models. Quite happy with the device!

This is a replacement for the original Kindle Fire charger, which stopped working after 18 months. Power output information printed on the device reads 2.1 amps. We have used the charger for both the original Kindle Fire and the original Nexus 7, which came with a 2.1 amp charger. It provides a faster charge than the original Kindle charger. We even used it several times to charge a cheap LG 220 phone that normally uses about a 0.5 amp charger. No problems so far after one month use on all three devices. Perhaps someone with more electronics expertise and specific device circuitry knowledge can comment on the use of a charger with higher potential output than that originally supplied. Finally, no special expertise is needed to FIVE STAR rate the 6.5 foot cord - we love the added flexibility it provides for use while charging!

This really does recharge my kindle fire a lot faster than the white charger set up I was originally using. It gets fully charged in a few hours instead taking all night. I like the longer cord since it now reaches to my night table and when I'm done with the kindle for the night, I can plug it into the charger without getting out of bed. The USB prong that attaches to the kindle was slightly bent when it arrived and did not go fully into the kindle. I was afraid it would break off if I bent it back, but I was able to straighten it out and it's fine now. UPDATE - I've had this charger for 4 months now and last night it broke. The prong that plugs into the kindle separated into 2 pieces when I tried to remove it from the kindle. Fortunately, I was able to remove the segment that was left in the kindle. And in the interest of full disclosure, I originally wrote a review because the company offered to send me a second charger for free if I wrote a review. Although there was no indication getting the free charger was contingent on posting a favorable review, I had no problem doing so because at that time the charger was working as promised.

I purchased this power cord for my son's kindle. It works great. No problems charging and the long cord comes in handy when he uses it plugged in. We've used it about every day for a month now and it's been carried around in my purse and by our 6 year old. I don't usually give reviews but was lucky to be offered a spare charger for my unbiased review. I was willing to do this because I really do like the charger and would love another for my kindle. It was a great price vs. how much we paid for our kindle charger which broke after 1 year of use. Charger is just as advertised. Thanks!

I had to order another charger for my fire tablet. Last one I had got an error message on tablet about low power and moisture. Replaced with this one , and tablet charging again. Saved me a new tablet replacement for now. Nice long cord and blue light on wall plug is so cool. GREAT.

As you know tody when you buy electronic stuff you should to pay for all the necessary accessories as well, I bought tablet but no charger in the box , after some research I end up with this charger, is working perfectly so far

Excellent. But the cost of courier charges to India must be very high. Total cost to me was INR 2200+ (US$37/-). Why can't Amazon India stock accessories related to Kindle?

The original chargers with both my LG cell and my Samsung tablet had both seriously slowed down. It took roughly 2 days to charge both devices....nightmarish! I was looking for a new charger/chargers that would get the job done quickly, and when I read the reviews about this device I knew I had to try it. First off, the price was reasonable. I snagged this charger for less than $13. Second, it really does work, and remarkably fast too! From full drain to full charge on each device it takes about 1 and a half hours. I can't recommend this charger enough!
