Airwolf 3D HD Printer
G**S
Poor quality and WAY over priced printers. VERY poor Customer service. Very poor Apex software which is all they will help with.
Stay away from all Airwolf printers!!They used to have great customer service and care about their customers. Now they think they are so big they don't need to anymore.Their printers are also WAAAY over priced for the parts they produce and the quality of the components that make up the printer. We bought their Axiom printers and quickly reaized they are WAY overpriced for the print quality as well as the machine quality. Ya, they look pretty sweet on the outside. But they have VERY POOR quality printed parts inside. You'd think if you're putting printed parts in your printers, you would at least have high quality looking parts. It's pretty embarrassing for people to see that in your nice new shiny printer. I had an issue with the print head on ours so I took it apart and it was all 3d printed parts, and inside where the linear bearings are they had ground material away from their shabby print, and put pieces of cut off zip ties to make up the material they ground away. (This was on a 5K$ machine mind you!!! I couldn't believe it)Their print quality is no better than the 300$ printers we have at work. And their settings that they provide with their Apex software are all based on how fast they can spit parts out. Who cares what they look like must be their philosophy. Also, they are the NOISIEST printers I've ever heard run. I have ours in our basement and I have a hard time sleeping upstairs on the other side of the house sometimes, they are that noisy. We have Raise3D printers at work now, and they are amazing. The print quality is beautiful. Better than our 80K$ printer quality most of the time. They are also silent. You can't even tell its running unless you look at it. And the build size is huge. And it's priced better than the Airwolf ones. AND they have MUCH higher quality componenets. And NO BAD looking printed parts in it. There are some, but they are beautiful as well. So, this all shows that Airwolf could be better, but they choose not to be.And this isn't even to mention their HORRIBLE APEX software that they seem to thing is the best thing out there. They used to push everyone to use Cura and now that they have this sad software, they won't offer any help with any other software such as start up codes or anything. (Which by they way, you have to have right so it can do it's self leveling feature). The new Cura is not working nicely with ours, so I reached out for assistance and they said they only support Apex questions now. And that was the end of their email. They should be ashamed. They have gone from a company that really cared about their customers and went out of the way to help them, to one that wants to sell their stuff and run!!STAY AWAY from Airwolf. I wish I would not have wasted a bunch of money on their machines!!
O**C
I hate the entire Airwolf line.
The Airwolf 3D Printers are awful. Stay far away. Where do we start? Lets start here:1) There is constant what they call "Mouse biting" due to the filament being fed through the back in a wheel form instead of the top like a normal printer. This causes a lot of clogs, failed prints, as well as awful filament to be extruded no matter what their brand. Never buy a printer that is pulled upwards via motor in the wheel instead of using a motor thats already in the print head and uses gravity instead. You're asking for a lot of pain, headache, and wasted time.2) I hope you like clogged heads that you can hardly clean, because if your filament gets stuck in the print head due to "mouse biting" good luck getting it out. You can't open your print head without disassembling the entire thing thats built on their own ABS plastic. There is no option on their LCD menu on any device to force the filament to clear out it's chamber for loading/reloading a filament. Yup, you heard that right. Theres no load/unload filament setting. So what's that mean? Read on.3) The price is god awful. Really. You're paying for the acrylic and the only parts they use are their own "3D Printed Parts". They didn't even add an enclosure, but thats ok because you're going to stay far away from this printer anyway :o)4) Looking for support? Call their number and they will refer you to their online wiki and ticket system which is useless. On top of them trying to get you to use their own "Cloud Based Software", which is a whole another issue if you're using proprietary designs and is a big NONO, all slicers will have issues with this machine. This causes clogging and they blame the Mouse Bite issue on you not using the proper software. Yes, its your fault for using Slic3r, Cura, and anything thats not their Cloud software. The icing on the cake? If you take their GCODE files for their "test prints that will work globally on any machine" and enter it manually for your own personal design, the print will fail.TLDR: Machine is built by people over at Little Tikes. The machine is built cheaply. The support is awful. Save your money, you're better off with a Chinese knockoff Makerbot. Good luck.

DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, BUY THIS MACHINE!
Airwolf is highly invested in this idea of "the machine that builds itself." Hence all their products feature a preference of 3D printed parts. This is very cute and all, but when the machine costs thousands of dollars ask yourself if you really want a big bucket of cheap plastic parts (fabricated on a machine that also was made from cheap plastic parts)I 3D print all day long as a profession, and have used several different machines from various manufacturers and this is arguably one of the most cheaply constructed ones I have seen yet. The design is also painfully lacking. The LED's and acrylic panels look cool, but again, the design flaws are always right in your face and make working with the machine very arduous. The bowden-tube extruder is very poorly executed; all the parts being plastic have very poor fit and finish. Thus changing filament is a huge pain in the @ss... and you had better just forget about any sort of flexible filament.Every 3D printer of this type and in this price range is going to be lots of work and tweaking and baby-ing to get it working properly. The question is whether or not the machine is worth the work, and whether the machine's design facilitates the work you will have to put into it. Does it make your job harder or easier? This one is NOT worth the work, and does you no favors. I have gotten some awesome prints off of this one, but again... it's totally not worth the hassle.
