Typically the phrase is “you get what you pay for”. I wanted to spend the money to protect my 5th wheel with a great product and this is it!! Heavy duty and of the highest quality I have ever seen. Very impressed with this lock and AmpLock as a whole. I’ve had another lock of theirs prior that I had to return because of wrong sizing. Nonetheless, that was 6 months ago, but I remembered vividly how great the quality was I told myself “that’s the lock brand I will always go with”.

After reviewing locks online this is the only brand I would purchase. It is very heavy and a quality lock.

This is my third amplock products all of my trailers get an amplock, if a peace of mind is what you're looking for and money is not what really concerns you, because it is true amplocks are a little more money than the rest, however im sure what you are trying to protect with this lock is worth way more money, than look no further and do yourself a favor and get an amplock and sleep with ease... nothing beats these locks!

Really glad my wife insisted that we buy this. Our son read an article about trailers getting stolen so the insisted that I purchase one right away. It covers the whole hitch pin and is really solid, heavy solid. It's coated in a really nice grey material that so far hasn't chipped. The locking pin feels like it engages securely. I don't see anyone that isn't really prepared to go after this lock with REAL tools getting past this thing. I feel that any thief that is just looking for the easy mark will move on to easier pickings when seeing this lock. I have recommended it to several people.

So far this has been very easy to use. And I really like how heavy duty it is. Criminals can eventually get through anything but the point of theft deterrent systems are to make it too difficult to be worth it so they move on to the next job. This definitely does that. It would take a while to break through unless you have the key. It's very easy to lock and unlock. The only time I've had any trouble so far is because the Teflon disc slid down a little and I wasn't pushing the lock onto my fifth wheel high enough. Once I realized I needed to push it up higher it was fine.

Solid lock, easy to use. Feel secure with added security.

Wish it would fit the kingpin tighter with less play

Lock is very heavy duty and well made. It is easy to install onto the fifth wheel hitch and gives peace of mind that the trailer is secure.
