AISIN GENUINE WPT-023 New Engine Water Pump with Gasket and Studs (4) - Compatible with Select Lexus LX450 Toyota Land Cruiser

This arrived fast. I returned it because it turned out my pump was not leaking, a hose was. They returned it no problem. I did see name cast into the part was ground off and replaced with a sticker. I read on another site that this is because Aisin makes they OEM pump for Toyota, but cannot leave the Toyota name on the ones they sell to the public. I haven't confirmed this, but the guy sounded like he knew what he was talking about.

I replaced the water pump along with basically the entire cooling system on my 1996 FZJ80. This water pump is identical to the original except it does not have TOYOTA branding on it. It's Aisin so it's good stuff.

I expected better from aisin. The waterpump and the metal gasket is thrown together in a loose box and the gasket was bent and dented upon arrival. Also there are two areas of markings grounded off from the original housing and a small Aisin sticker is placed over one location. It is sold by what looks like the "Aisin official amazon store". So I am not sure what is the reason for this. Aisin please explain if you're selling fakes through your official channels??? I am returning this unit and ordering another. Will update if the next unit is any better.

Installed on my 1995 Land Cruiser. This is the same exact part you would get from the dealership at a much cheaper price. Installed it myself with no issues and its going strong just as I would expect from an OEM part.

so far so good. most would submitt this is the same as OEM Toyota - Toyota doesnt "make" water pumps - they "buy them from "denso-aisin" - although mine did not come with studs for the fan clutch - install super easy - but you do have to remove the fan belts and (of course) semi drain the coolong system. my advice do the enitre water system overhaul - hoses - flush - thermostat - heater hoses - hcv.

Same part as the OE one with the T---ta ground off and a Aisin sticker placed over. Perfect fit and identical except you have to install the fan studs.

Great price for a quality part

I ordered this water pump for my 80 series landcruiser knowing it’s identical to OEM just branded AISIN instead of Toyota. The package comes with new studs and a gasket included but arrived with the gasket already damaged/torn, making it useless. There was nothing in the box keeping the water pump from smashing the gasket, essentially making this a risk for everyone purchasing this item.
