Is the glue in n the whole bottom of the lid or just the rim ?

Just the rim. To absolutely ensure a tight and secure fit, once you have placed the new foil lid on your filled pod, you must use the bottom of the brush (or a small tube-shape such as a chopstick, pencil, etc.) to press around both the outer edge of the capsule (e.g., where the outer edge of the capsule meets the inner edge of the wooden pod holder) and then, with slight pressure, the inner edge of the capsule by making a light indentation in the actual foil. A lengthy instruction that actually takes 3-5 seconds at most. I've used over 300 Capmesso foils and not one has failed or leaked by doing the above.

The diameter is 64mm,approx. 2.5'' that are specially designed for vertuoline pods.

How many times can you reuse a pod with these foils before it becomes too disformed?

I've been successfully reusing pods since July 2019, and haven't had any pods go bad.
