Well designed to keep your knife blades safe. Just one knick in the blades apex renders your knife useless, unless you grind the knick out. Just lay your knife in the safe,center it so the blade is clear of the edge,then just fold it shut untill the clips snap shut. You can now put in a drawer without having to worry about damaging your blade. You can throw it in a pack for hiking,it wont damage the backpack. It will save you money in the long run you wont have to buy another knife.

Are you troubled by dark spirits invading your home and slinging your fine cutlery at you from across the kitchen? Well, we all know how annoying that can be. (Been there, got the T-Shirt). If you are having those kinds of problems, I highly recommend this product. They may be able to get the knife out of the drawer and throw it at you, but it will just fall harmlessly to the floor, because they just can''t get these fine sheaths off. And no more having to re-sharpen all your knives every time your unwanted spectral guests fling a fit ! These well made guards fit a variety of non-Victorinox blades quite well, and are very secure. The only downsides are the extra step of opening up the case to use the blade, and the fact that they are slightly bulky. Given the inconvenience of going to the emergency room for stitches when someone has an accidental encounter with a truly sharp blade, and the protection these guards provide from damage to the keen edge on a properly sharpened knife, those drawbacks are minor indeed. These guards were also favorably reviewed by Cook's Illustrated, and you know how picky they are. If you have very sharp knives in your drawers, you should order a complete set of these guards. Your hands will thank you. Your "haints" however, will be most unhappy.

I positively love these knife covers! My personal preference is not to have a knife block on the counter-top. I simply don't like the way it looks, not to mention the fact that it takes up prime real estate on my kitchen counters. When I recevied my new Shun knives, I instantly knew that I needed a cover for protection for their blades, and I also instantly came to Amazon. This blade cover fits my 7 inch Santoku knife perfectly. I ordered the larger size knife cover (8"-10") for my 8 inch chef's knife - If you have an 8 inch knife, I would definitely buy the larger size - my Shun chef's knife wouldn't have fit in the 6"-8" BladeSafe. Both knife covers fit the knives perfectly and I feel completely at ease putting my prized knives in the kitchen drawer. The BladeSafes take a little bit of practice getting them open. It takes a bit of focus, but it's not hard to open, just safely closed. If you have small children, they likely won't be able to open these. Bottom line - If you store your knives in a drawer or need to chop that knife block off the counter-top, get these BladeSafes for your knives. They will not only protect your blades, but will protect your hands when you go digging in the knife drawer!

To be fair, it does what it's supposed to do. I have a Victorinox 8" Chef's knife. It fits in this case perfectly. The closure is tight, so I don't worry about the knife coming out of the case. My one problem is that the rubber pieces attached to each side of the case leave marks on the knife. It may be me and my OCD issues, but I almost had a meltdown the first time I removed my brand new beautiful knife from this case and saw those marks. They do come off when you wash the knife, but you can still see a shadow of a mark. Is it a chemical reaction? No clue. So, yes, the case works well, but be aware that it does leave a mark on the knife. Just putting it out there for all you other OCDers. My husband told me that I was overreacting a bit when I started wailing about how my new knife was ruined. I asked him how he would react if something like this happened to his brand new Playstation 4. That shut him right up! I've never had a nice knife (and therefore case) before, so for all I know they may all have that rubber piece that does the same thing.

I lay my 7 inch Victorinox knife in this when ever I am not using the knife. It not only protects the sharpness of the blade but also is a safety factor in preventing accidental knife cuts.

I like that when putting my very sharp Wusthof Classic Chef Knife into it I can just lay it in the "clam shell type" case and close it. My hand never comes close to the blade. The conventional sheaths however I was afraid if I slip trying to insert it into the narrow opening it might cut my hand that is holding it. It also fits my 8 inch blade perfectly. Great product for the price!

Fits my 8 inch Global cook's knife perfectly. The black rubber stays (two on each side) hold the knife securely within the plastic case so my knife does not slide around within the case. These rubber stays do leave little marks on my knife but with a little rubbing with my thumb, the marks come off completely. The case is made of hard, durable plastic and closes securely with two clasps on the top. Great for transporting your knives safely.

Vian construido y muy seguro además de sencillo, no soy experto pero parece que hasta un niño pequeña tendría dificultades al abrirlo.

Llego a tiempo y en buen estado, excelente compra.
