I used the first 4 syringes and they worked fine... The results weren't so radical as what I wanted for my wedding so I went on and used the second set. With the second set I didn't feel the side effects (yes, it is true, it makes your teeth sensitive and it is kind of painful, but nothing excessive, it is tolerable) and I didn't seem to work as the previous one... So I contacted Amazon customers support and they were amazing!!! They gave me a refund and since I live in Venezuela and told them I would not be able to use the refund with my credit card because of the very strict currency exchange control policy the government has here, they gave me like q bonus to be collected any time with any product purchased from Amazon! These people are great! They really know how to keep customers happy! I love them, and especially all those who took care of my case!! I couldn't be more satisfied. The product works, I don't know what happened with the last syringes I got, but anyways my dentist said that results with the first 4 syringes was fine, and that I had used it long enough. The secret to it not making your teeth so sensitive is not using too much product at a time, and also, trimming the trays (I used the moldable ones sold on Amazon as well) so that they do not cover your gums (my dentist told me so and it was a real relief afterwards) because if they are covered by the tray, the product irritates them.

I used this for one hour and noticed my teeth were visibly whiter. Unlike Zoom, this product did not irritate my teeth. Do not use this for 8-10 hours (like the directions say) as this will most likely cause sensitivity. My Dentist recommends this product and said to wear it for 1 hour (not 8) at a time. The expiration date is on the instructions, and it comes sealed with the tube. The expiration date was over 2 yrs out on the one I received. There is no flavor to this...it is not mint. It says mint, but it is completely tasteless. It is also very (very) sticky, so kind of different than the other whiteners, but I really like this one. I was in so much pain after using the Zoom whitening (16%) that Advil didn't even help. I would recommend this product because it has been working great for me.

Great whitener

This is a great whitening product, and works just as well (if not better) than a professional kit you'd get from a dentist. I already had the fitted whitening trays made by my dentist, so that made using this product a breeze. If you don't already have a fitted tray, there are some decent options that you can mold to your teeth at home, but won't be nearly as effective or comfortable. The reason I didn't give it five stars is that I still experienced some sensitivity in my teeth after whitening. One of the main draws for me was seeing people review it and say that they didn't experience any discomfort with this whitening after having problems with others. That said, my teeth only felt uncomfortable for maybe a day or two, and it wasn't all that bad. So, in summary, if you already have professionally fitted trays and are in need of whitening gel refill, you can't go wrong with Opalescence. You definitely get results if used properly, and it's a great value with 8 syringes for less than the cost of a box of over the counter whiteners from the supermarket.

I bought an 8-pack of 15% Opalescence gel and it works very well. The nice thing is it's a little thicker than other brands and really sticks to your teeth. I could see a noticeable improvement after each application and I'm glad I got this stuff. Next time I'm going to try the 20% concentration since the 15% didn't cause much sensitivity problems. The 8-pack was much cheaper than I could get elsewhere and worked great. I used 4 syringes and am saving 4 for touch-ups. Update 02 July 2013 - product does tend to gel in unopened containers after time which I didn't experience with other brands. You might want to use them within 6 months or so to avoid hardening. I use about a tube every few months to touch-up my teeth but was surprised to find the gel started to harden after the tubes were a few months old.

I couldn't be happier with the Opalescence PF 15% whitening gel! When I've tried whitening my teeth previously (with different products), I experienced severe tooth sensitivity. I have NOT experienced ANY sensitivity while using this product! I have fitted retainers from prior orthodontic treatment (ie: braces), so the gel is easily placed in the trays and stays secure while I'm sleeping. I make sure to use just enough, so the gel doesn't come out the top of my retainers. I've used this product for 5 nights and am so happy with the brightness of my smile! I'm glad I bought the 8 pack, so I can use when a touch up is needed. Highly recommend this product. You won't be disappointed!

Okay, anyone who is whitening and not buying their refills from Amazon is not very smart! My dentist recommends/sells this brand of whitener, in this formulation and her office charges $45 for 4 vials. Here, you are getting double that for almost half the price. The only issue I have with Opalescence (the company), why do they not put the expiration date on each individual vial or at least on the bottom of the 4 pack pkg.? A little tip: I was told by my dentist, to always keep the whitening syringes in the refrigerator and they will stay fresh longer. As for the gel, don't hesitate to try it, it works great! I use it in my custom made whitening trays overnight and I never have any sensitivity.

I love it. It really works wonderfully. I used to purchase at my dentist until he stopped carrying it for a more expensive brand. I was so thrilled I found it here.

Does not seem to whiten teeth and uses a lot of product for one use. Perhaps I am using it incorrectly? I have messaged seller but have not received a reply.
