MUST HAVE if you have a chlorine pool
This test kit is FANTASTIC and way better than any other test kit we have tried. The different colors for each chemical are very clear and easy to tell the difference between each level. It is great quality, and we even bought it a second time when we ran out of the test chemicals. It works very quickly and is super accurate when we have tested it with pool stores. It has really helped us to get our chlorine levels, ph levels, and overall water quality back on track (especially after a hurricane). 10/10 would definitely recommend! I want to add that we tried a smaller, cheaper kit, but we hated it and ending up wasting our money and going back to buy this one. Just buy it!

Easy to use!
I'm ramping myself up into caring for my own pool so I purchased this kit. Love that the kit comes with instructions on how to do it all and how to measure things. The insert in the kit tells you how to interpret the results of your pool chemistry along with causes and recommended ranges for the numbers. Measuring the chemistry is super simple, the included steps guide you right through the process, the included tools are easy to read as well. I've been testing after my pool guy comes to match up the results and I'm always seeing the same results that he has which tells me that this kit is spot on. My pool continues to look good and will continue to look super clear and clean even after my pool guy is no longer needed.

A great starter kit
I have a small above ground pool. I bought this kit after struggling with my pools chemistry due to using the horrid test strips. My pool was so off balance when I initially tested with this kit. It took me a day to get it properly balanced thanks to this kit. This is easy to use. Dunk it in low, level the sample off with the line, add your drops according to the test you're doing, invert it and hold it up to a light source to read. I will definitely upgrade next season to one that tests my CYA level. The instructions are easy follow and understand.

Not bad for the price for spa use but for a pool I would go for the bigger unit.
After managing hotel pools and hot tubs for many years I am used to using top of the line test kits that make it easier to test and record all water quality levels twice daily. For my home hot tub I chose this one for the price and included basics and use it weekly but use test strips for daily testing. While it does the job it is a bit harder to use and judge results than the larger pro kits. For a single hot tub it is fine along with using good test strips. For a big pool I would choose the better and larger kits. For the money it is a reasonable choice for a hot tub.

Precise and confidence in my spa
I tried several brands of test strips and went mad trying to decipher the colors. My hot tub specialist recommended a Taylor kit. I took me some time to learn how to use it, but now I can quickly and easily test my spa. The color accuracy is never in question and it helps maintain the chemistry balanced and ready for use. It is accurate and gives me the confidence I need to ensure my spa is ready for use. I have not looked back since.

Less is more-don’t need a huge test kit.
Exactly as expected and on-time delivery. I use this to do weekly checks on my pool. If I need anything more I just take a sample to a pool store.

Good kit for beginners
First of all, this does not test cyanuric acid levels, which is basically like a sunscreen for chlorine levels. You'll want the larger version of the kit if that's what you'll be testing for. I wound up ordering the larger version as I used liquid chlorine and minimal chemicals. Otherwise, it's easy to use for pH, chlorine and combined chlorine as well as alkalinity and the instructions are simple to follow. My pool is performing perfectly this summer and my kids and I are very happy.

Color differentiation nightmare
This isn’t my first Taylor kit. I have had the larger one, but a lot of it was wasted as I did not need many of the test reagents. I have used another brand more often (which is my favorite), but decided to give this one a try. Mainly because it was compact. And compact it is! Actually, the test container on this is too small. The tubes are hard to fill to the right line. It is so lightweight (and not wide at the base). I have had the entire thing blow over with reagent in it more than once in a slight breeze. The biggest issue, however, is the ridiculously minute color differences on the chlorine reading side. Most of the time, I have pulled out my old trusty other-brand kit to get a second chlorine reading. So, I have decided to cut out the middleman and just go back to the other kit. I will only keep this one for a backup for ph readings and alkalinity.

Easy to use and accurate
Excellent kit - easy to use (much easier to get accurate readings than with test strips). Fast shipping.

Excellent product
Super helpful. Much better than strips. I feel so much more confident with my hot tub management now since switching to this kit. Also, I add so much less chemicals overall. Customer service was excellent.

Simple and accurate
After going through multiple test strips and having different results when dipping them in at the same time, we decided to get a Taylor kit. I would have liked a kit with a hardness test, but it's not the end of the world. The acid demand is kind of useless. The instructions say to do the test and take the results in to your local pool place. I got the kit so I could avoid going to the pool place. Expiry dates on the reagents were good too.

Great kit for salt water pools
This is a great little kit for salt water pools. The instructions are easy to follow and it only takes a few minutes. Well worth it imo.

Easy for newbies
I just got myself one of those inflatable hot tubs. Not having any experience maintaining water quality, I started with test stripes and quickly learned accuracy was not their strong suit. Plus, they tend to bleed their colours onto each other when you dipped and shook them off. Looking for something a little more scientific, I found this. The cost was more but accuracy of water chemistry testing is important for extending the life of the tub. You can see the colour gradation is much more pronounced then stripes, making it easier to get an accurate reading. It measures the three major indicators: bromine, ph and alkalinity. I wish it also did hardness but that rarely changes. I still use stripes for that. The best before dates of each bottle is still a year out and there is enough that I don’t have to worry about how often I test. I’m close to the end of the season and only used about a quarter of the most used bottle. Hopefully, I’ll be able to replenish the bottles when needed but if I had to buy the whole deal again, I wouldn’t hesitate.
