Alpine Swiss mens Oxfords,loafers

REALLY nice boot!! Wasn't expecting very much because of the low, very affordable price, but these boots are lovely and very, very versatile. All the say from rather formal/dressy to quite sexy.

These shoes run small. I tried on three pairs and I couldn't find the right size, I imagine because they don't make 1/2 sizes in this model. I normally wear a size 9 regular width in tennis shoes (like Vans and Adidas), and I usually have to go down to an 8-1/2 or even an 8 when I buy boots. I tried the size 8, 9, and 10. The 9 was a little too small, and the 10 was OK but I noticed that they felt a little roomy and like I had big feet when I looked in the mirror. Otherwise this is a very nice shoe and was exactly what I was looking for. I like the plain black style and the fact that there is no boot strap (I find that the boot strap interferes with cuffs when sitting and standing). I don't think that the shoe is excessively narrow, it's just that the sizing is a little more like sneakers than boots. I'm not surprised that the 10 was too big, but I was a little surprised that I couldn't wear the 9. Usually if that happens, I just buy the 9-/12, and I really wished that I could have done so this time, because the shoes look great and the price is right.

I'm always skeptical about buying clothes and shoes--things that have to "fit"--online, without first trying them on. Took a chance on these dress boots and, WOW! What a pleasant surprise. They fit like a glove, make my (size 12) feet look small, and are as soft as real leather. Don't hesitate to order a pair of these if your shoe size is consistent and doesn't vary among manufacturers. Your size is this company's size. And for this price I dare you find a Dexter or name-brand that's better in quality and comfort.

I have a mixed review for this shoe. I never heard of Alpine Swiss before, so I gambled when I ordered this shoe. The price was decent (at the time I ordered it) and the photos and description were a nice selling point. For the price, this shoe isn't bad, but......it fits well, the sizing is spot on. It looks somewhat cheaply made. It's not too shiny or too dull, but the heel is plastic and it's easy to tell that it's plastic. To me, the shoe is a bit uncomfortable after wearing it a while. I used thick socks to see if that would be better and it was so-so. The shoe still looks good as of this review. If you need an inexpensive shoe in this style, it's not bad for the money, but wear thick socks. Also to note: I ordered two pair of this style: Black and Brown. This review covers both pair. The brown is a nice shade, not a very dark brown and not too light, almost a "rust" colored brown. I will continue to wear them until they either fall apart or until the plastic heels fall off. I might see how much it cost to put better heels on these. A better heel might make the difference and will hopefully help them last a long time. All in all, 3 stars is fair in my opinion. I never order shoes online, so this was my first. Not sure if I will again. For the price, not a bad, "cheap" shoe to get the job done, just be aware of the cheap, plastic heel and the chance it could be uncomfortable for you as they are for me after wearing them for a couple of hours.

I am very apprehensive in buying shoe or boots off the internet. These fit like they were custom made for me. Excellent cushion and support. Light and very comfortable.

As others have stated...cheaply made. I will only wear when doing yard work.

The shoe runs very small. I’m a size 11.5 and the size 13 was too small. I really like the look of the shoe. If they had a size 14 I would get it but they don’t.

I work in a restaurant 6 days a week and I walk almost non stop 6 days a week, 8 hours a day and these shoes have treated me great! Unfortunately because of how much I walk, the soles have holes in them and the sole on the right shoe has separated. But because of how much I loved them the first time and they are still a great price, I will be buying another pair.
