Teak Oil

Really nice teak oil! Had seen this used in marine environments on boats and swim platforms and decided to try it for a teak shelf unit in our shower. It goes on really easy and we waited 5 minutes like the instructions indicated and wiped down the excess. It looks great and beads the water from the shower. I see this protecting not only the wood but keeping that nice teak color from graying as quickly. I did not notice any strange smells or issues with application which I did in our garage. We let it dry thoroughly before placing it inside. I highly recommend this product. We only used a small amount on a three shelf unit about 12 x 12 x 41 inches. 16oz will last us a very long time! Update 2024: 6 years later and I still like the product and I still have the same bottle! Works great and a little goes a long way! The shower shelf has lasted all this time since 2018 and finally got to the point where it will not restore to natural teak color. This shelf was in a shower used several times a day and I took the shelf out every 6-12 months before it started to turn gray and reapplied Teak Oil. Last couple years I would power wash to remove the 'junk' from being wet and apply teak oil. Now I can't get the color back and shelf is too difficult to sand with all the crevices and slits in the shelving so we bought another one. I don't like the natural gray color but do like the wood color of teak so we just deal with it and put on more Teak Oil than some might think necessary. (Used to do this to an old swim platform on a Master Craft boat too!) One things to mention, if near or around water, teak will want to naturally gray no matter what you do. If you don't like that, you might should think about another wood or go with something that looks like teak. You can fight it all you want with this oil, but eventually the natural graying will take over and usually sanding is necessary to get it back. Recommendation: If in a shower, take it out every 6 months/clean/apply more teak oil. If an outside table/patio set, you should probably put this stuff on more frequently than you might think to the parts that face the sun/rain. I'd check it every couple months and apply when you think it does not need it (note, some covers hold moisture from the wood so it will speed up graying). Don't wait until a once-a-year cleaning after being out all winter and/or covered. The wood is fine, but color will turn that grayish color and very hard to get it back to that deep rich color without sanding.

Very easy to apply however secret to a flawless restoration is to thoroughly wash the teak with restore cleaner several times before applying the oil. Lesson learned with my teak chairs, washed with teak cleaner once, rinsed, dried and finally oiled. White spots appeared which are not eliminated adding a 2nd oil treatment. With table, different strategy, washed and let dried twice then using light sanding paper sanded the dried table top, sides & legs. Wiped all surfaces then applied oil, results were amazing, lot of work but looks like when it was new. By the by, if your furnitures was seriously weathered for years (greyed), you may want to get a gallon of Teak oil to restore table and 6 chairs for 2 applications of oil.

Goes on nicely with a rich warm tonality. Needs 24hrs to really dry... but it lasts a long time! Yes... even on sanded pine furniture!

Always my go-to for my teak outdoor furniture! Easy to apply and maintains them for another year!

Easy to apply. Turned my grey teak to a nice brown within minutes. Going to get a spray or squeeze top so can't spill. I was very impressed

This worked perfectly for what I wanted. When applied to cedar it brings out the tones of the various grains. I used it on light and dark boards. It "lightly" darkens the wood, but is very natural in appearance.

I have Teak garden furniture. After sanding the surface of the table, washing and drying it, I applied Teak oil. It was quick and easy to apply. The garden furniture table looks great.

月一回、玄関の手入れなどに使用してます。匂いもオイルっぽさが気にならず、寧ろ高級感さえ感じます。 使用頻度は高くはないですが、開封して１年近く経ちますが品質に変化はないように感じます。 容量が多いためガシガシ使うことができます。 飴色に若干色付きはしますが、木本来の色調などを損なう程ではなく、自然な暖かみのある仕上がりになる様に感じます。
