Gouevn Soil Moisture Meter for Plants, Plant Water Meter Indoor Outdoor

I purchased this to supplement an aging combo water/ph/light meter that works well but the face has faded and become hard to read. This was recommended in a review online so I decided to add this to my gardening tools. Upon testing it is very consistent when compared to my existing meter so I know that it accurate for my simple needs of testing soil moisture. So far it has been simple to use and easy to read in bright sun as well as the shade. Good little tool!

I love the moisture meter as I had forgotten there was such a thing. The meter looks nice and works so well. I used it every two weeks to check the moisture of my plants. It is very readable and durable and cost is not bad.

Wonderful price, easy to read, great product that does what is expected. However, Instructions clearly state that it should NOT be left in soil. So it's more of a check it, take it out, clean it off & put it back in the box for next time sort of item. I thought I could leave it in the soil - you can't. This is probably where other reviewers who rated it low stars issues started.

I was so impressed with this little meter. I had assumed most of my plants didn't need watering but then I used meter and low and behold, they ALL needed watering except my succulents which registered correctly and that's how I knew the meter was working. Very handy to have. The only thing is I wish more plants were listed for watering needs, but still love it.

If you love houseplants but struggle with knowing when to water, this tool is a game changer!

The first Gouevn Soil Moisture Meter was broken because the needle was way off the chart and did not move at all to show the humidity level. The information on how to use the meter was right on the box and was easy to follow. The meter was sturdy and the size appropriate. I returned it with the reason for the return. Almost immediately, I received a new one and this one works.

I could put it in any medium and it would never register moisture. Have a friend who bought the same model and it worked for her, so maybe I just got unlucky.

Ideal for checking out plants in pots

It only worked for one week . Subsequently the pointer always goes to blue which means very wet , even though the soil is dry !

Happy with the Product. Tried on Indoor as well as Outdoor Plants. Gives an immediate read. I had actually expected, as stated in product specs, that it will take a few minutes to arrive at the meter read, but it is instant. The Probe is long enough to reach closer to the roots in most Pots. Also, senses differential water levels in the same Pot. Tried at surface and the deeper. The reading of the meter keeps changing when it moves deep down. Works well overall. I preferred the analog one over the digital meters, which according to my view may not have longer life and will not be robust enough in the UAE temperature.
