Great car flashlight
The center of the light beam is not solid light, it is the pattern of small LEDs but it works nonetheless. For me, it's a survival flashlight (and seat belt cutter and glass smasher) for each automobile. The lithium batteries are pretty good. A two year model got stuck in the console compartment where it lost its charge. The charge was so low that it needed to be recharged with a USB recharger rather than the solar cells, but once it was USB recharged the battery came back to life and is as good as ever.

Hefty tool
Heavier than I anticipated but otherwise nice tool for emergencies. Haven't tested charge longevity.

Quite awesome
In my opinion, this is the best all aroung emergency flashlight to have in your home of vehicle. It has everything a person needs in an emergency, a glass breaker, seat belt cutter, flashlight, work light, blue and red flashing light, compass and a very loud siren. Plus you can charge up a phone and the price is awesome. One gripe thought, I wish the company would have put two buttons on it, one to control the flash light and one to control the lamp worklight feature. Oh, almost forgot, it not only charges off the usb plug, is also charges by solar, how great is that, quite awesome. Some models of the same type flashlight will come with different features. Look for the features you want before you buy. I had to really search for this particular one.

Save your money!
I expected a lot from this flashlight considering my father has one and I had actually scanned his box to purchase mine however after a month mine stopped working. It stopped taking charge I guess because the battery lasts all of three minutes, literally. I have tried solar charging literally all day from sun up to sun down, charging in the house by the power source provided, in the car via USB port, different chargers I owned that did not come with the flash light, the one I did in all the methods listed previously and still no luck! The only difference I can think is that my fathers flashlight was purchased as a gift for him about a year ago and at that time this company took pride in making their products where as now they don’t. Unfortunately it does happen as they start to make money and find other avenues to spend less to make more. One thing I forgot to mention is that after it stopped working, I put it away in the box in a closet in my house and when I took it out to check everything before writing this review, the plastic housing over the solar panel had come loose. Maybe I missed it before putting it away but it’s literally hanging off so it would’ve been difficult to miss but possible. I hate leaving negative reviews which is why I waited so long. I wanted to test the flashlight again before writing and had hoped that it worked perfectly, like my dads but no luck. Thankfully I got this during a time they had a really good sale so I didn’t pay much but I had to still go purchase a different flash light and then the seatbelt cutter and glass break tool separate.Btw since I had to give stars to rate each section below and 0 stars is not an option I have one star. Trust me if 0 was an option it would’ve been what I chose. Cant rate brightness when there isn’t any brightness to rate ya know.
