Worth the price
The Best has its price , although these are 14 gauge, they feel like 12 . I've used them for so long, they're the only strings I will use on my Archtop, and they sound great,

Super high quality strings
I've been using these strings for about 6 years. They are head and shoulders above other brands in quality as are all the Thomastik strings I've tried. Among the Thomastiks I've tried, these are the most durable, they stay in tune the best, and give a full bodied tone that is unmatched by any other set. That said, I do not recommend these for beginners. They are rather high tension and bends can be tough if you aren't used to bending a B string that is .018 I play these on an old Gibson with original T-top pickups. I also use extremely thick picks [3mm]. I play mostly Funk and jazz/blues w/e you wanna call it. Folks need to buy more of these since the price is getting out of hand. I'm probably the only one besides GB playing these things.

Great strings
Great for Jazz, Blues, and lazy guitarists I'm no serious guitarist but I know quality when I see it. The sound is amazing and these flatwound strings are so smooth that callous-free guitarists (kids like me playing classical guitar most of the time) have no trouble jumping right in. The price is clearly high compared to normal electric strings, but it is worth the cost for such a smooth ride

Great strings but wrap on low E string is very thick - may not fit your tailpiece
Fantastic sounding strings. 5/5 for tone. But be cautious whether your bridge is wide enough for the low E string which has thick wrap on it. I have a guild manhatten jazz guitar and it has a floating tailpiece and the low E string doesn’t really fit in there. It’s not all the way but so far staying in tune.

Best Sounding Strings for Jazz Guitar
There is absolutely no substitute set of strings for my Ibanez GB-200. I have always used these strings in my guitar. I have played a few (in store) and without the Thimastik-Infeld, it is quite a different guitar. They are pricey, but well worth the investment for durability, intonation, resistance to oxidation and diminishing tonality. I purchased multiple pairs for future use because often they are hard to find; as most store do not stock such quality set of guitar strings. My review is 5 stars -:)

Best string for playing jazz.
I’ve played jazz guitar for over 50 years and have tried every string imaginable. The GB114 are by far the best strings I’ve every played. The tone is clear, full and give me the punch I desire. Plus they last longer than most other strings. They are pricey but worth every penny.

Expensive but worth it
I use these strings on my D'Angelico EXL-1 and love them. The tone is rich and mellow - exactly what I was looking for out of this jazz box. Great sustain and it fits nicely into the mix in the ensemble I play with. There are certainly less expensive strings available, but if this is the tone you are looking for, you are going to have to pay the price.

Un sonido ideal para el jazz clasico. Redondo y dulce. No suenan al deslizar la mano.

Best strings for jazz
Best strings for a jazz archtop. Don’t be put off by the heavy gauge- they are not difficult to finger even with a 25.5” scale. And they sound majestic!
