My pet pigeon just loves anything shiny or mirrored, so when I saw this wonderful ribbon I just knew I had to get it. As expected, he's made it a part of his nest and even cuddles with it sometimes. My other pigeon doesn't like shiny things as much, but he enjoys pecking at and yanking on ribbons when he's in "nest building mode" and this ribbon is fun for him to peck and very durable. Also, the roll is so big that it will last for a long time. I was thinking of cutting off smaller pieces to scatter in their cage. I think they'd have fun gathering them up and putting them with the rest of their favorite things. 5 stars, birds LOVE it!

Overall I am happy with this. We use it on our trampoline to keep birds off. Works pretty well. Easy to cut and tie. I tie streamers on the top.

Tape may be misleading to some. It's not traditional tape with adhesive, it's more like ribbon or streamers. I tied it to branches, used packing tape for some on my metal gate and used a staple gun for some on my wood fence. It seems to be working for my intended use which was to keep hawks away from my chicks. Birds (non-prey) I don't mind and they still come to the feeder. Great value, I did not use it all at once, have some left over and actually used some in a few homecoming mums, lol. Definitely will buy again when needed.

Seems to help, but after awhile the woodpeckers will peck holes within a foot or so of it so you need a lot and it may not deter them for long. You get a lot of it, but it does tear off in the wind and litter your property so it may be best to put up more shorter strips so it won't tear off too easily in the wind.

These get rid of the birds in south west Arizona without any problems. The first year we used them in the garden and just tied them to structures in our yard. The second year we used a staple gun to affix them to our wooden sunshade. The staple gun method has lasted much longer than tying them as the tying method allowed them to rip faster.

We put them up to test for a month this past spring. We were dealing with barn swallows that were very determined out on our deck. The birds would be curious for a day and stay away and then completely ignore them and build nest after nest. The deterant was louder than I expected and snapped and crackled quite vigorously. That's not a good thing or very neighborly in a condo complex. We took them down. This was a fail for our barn swallows but they are a very aggressive nesting bird maybe this would work with a different breed.

We put strips up to squelch a woodpecker problem and the product is working very well. This product is cheap & very easy to install; a real bargain! The roll is around 300 ft., so we will be using this method in the spring and as it tears from wind or other elements throughout the winter to discourage the pecking. Very worthwhile!

I have a balcony and the pigeons rest here and gives me a lot of free gifts. It's a nightmare to clean. I have to use gallons of hot water and then spray bleach and brush with broom. It's nasty and could potentially spread disease. This prevents them from coming near my balcony. I guess it's because of the full spectrum of reflective colors scares them.
