This works great for someone who doesn't want to pay a shop to charge your AC. It saved a ton of money after I swapped the compressor on my truck recently. So far It will do anything I may need to do for years to come as a DYI'er. The pump might be a bit louder than a snapon one but not super noisey.

Order arrived on time and in one piece. The product is as described, easy to use, and it worked as it should. The vacuum pump is a lot quieter than my old one, and didn't vibrate anywhere close to my old one. If I was ever to need another one, I have no issues with purchasing the same product from the same retailer. I am happy with the product.

DOES NOT INCLUDE 5/16 MINI SPLIT ADAPTER This kit is GREAT and works very well for a fantastic price. The gauges are clear and easy to read. The hoses are high quality, as are the included adapters. I can't comment on the r134a puncture valve, I haven't tried that just yet. It's pretty quiet, it's not the fastest at 3cfm but for something like a mini split or home AC it's more than fast enough. I let it run until all indication of air in the line stops (bubbles or burbling sounds) and then an extra 5 mins to make sure. Easy squeezy and for the price, I don't know that you can beat it--even at Hazard Fraught. As someone else said, the little cap for the oil port is very easy to lose...but whatever. I bought this to install a TOSOT 18,000 BTU Mini-Split, but you could use it for anything needing vacuum. The video I followed to install my unit suggested this vacuum pump and indicated it included "all gauges and adapters", and this turned out to be incorrect. My ONLY beef with this item is that, as far as I can tell, NOWHERE does it list what size adapters are included. I wish that I could tell you what they ARE, but I can't, I don't know. I know that the standard mini-split 5/16" is NOT in the box. 5/16 Inch Female Quick Coupler to 1/4 Inch Male Flare is the adapter you'll need for a mini split. There are lots of options, the one I ordered was $7 and came in two days and fit perfectly. Pulled to -30 psi in seconds and cleared the lines totally within 5 or so minutes, then I let it run for a total of almost 20 minutes.

Worked great! Finally got my AC working after 7 years. Would recommend this to anyone and will gladly use it again. Nice and quiet, and surprisingly simple to use. Comes with a travel bag to keep it organized. Go watch the ChrisFix video on vacuuming your AC system and have yours done in a couple hours. PS, if you have a leak in your system you can use this set to find it, just apply compressed air to the yellow tube with the gauges open, and while reading a positive pressure on the gauges, close the system and spray soapy water on your lines and hoses.

Great vacuum pump! I had no issues assembling the system with absolutely zero tools required. If you are purchasing this or other vacuum pumps for evacuating AC lines on Mini-Split systems like I did, make sure to grab a 1/4 to 5/16 adapter fitting. These are cheap and easy to grab, but all pumps come with the 1/4 fittings and they do not work on the evacuation port. I assembled my unit and had to order the fitting (next day shipping for the win) and after connecting the fittings I pulled a vacuum and closed the valves to let the system set. 4 hours later, even with the manifold in the vacuum loop, I had no visible drift, and that was with all the fittings finger tight. I was using a precharged outdoor unit, so no refrigerant was added.

UPDATE! Finally put the product to the test! Pros: - as mentioned, the materials are all well made and feels very durable. - my car now blows cold air - easy to set up - fairly easy to use Cons: - Directions? where are they? the "instructions" provided were not helpful, in my opinion. (ended up finding videos on Youtube) - The can tap: doe not specify if it needs to be used with a self-sealing can? either mine was faulty or needs a self-sealing can. Either way, I lost out on one can of refrigerant and had to buy a new can tap as well. - Recharge hose: does not fit on the can tap without the adapter that's included (I believe the adapter is for the recharge hose, product does not specify). - recharging: had to invert the refrigerant to really get it to flow into the car which then made measuring the amount going in more difficult. Not sure if this is related to having to use the adapter on the recharge hose or not. Overall, I am glad that this worked and I was able to save money by not going to a dealer or mechanic.
