This is my second set of Chicago Cutlery knives. The first set lasted many years. The look and feel of these knifes is excellent and they are light weight and a pleasure to work with. They clean up easily whether hand washed or by dishwasher. They are extremely sharp and an excellent value for the money

We had some Chigaco Cutlery for about 15 years. Love the set. However, with teenagers and years of constant use we somehow lost almost all the steak knives and several of the others. We tried to replace it with another brand, did not like them, so returned them and ordered the same basic set we had before it lost about 1/2 of the knives. We love the set.

We've owned a nice set of Chicago Cutlery knives for over 45 years. We've finally lost or worn them out enough to justify a new set. This set, while the block is larger, is a fantastic set of knives. They are extremely sharp and quite attractive. They match the hardware on our cabinets and doors, too! These were a gift for my wife's 70th birthday and she loves them! What more needs to be said? Buy with confidence!

I previously had the 2005 version of this knife set. I work in restaurants, and I cook a lot, so I know what makes for a good knife. Cons: The block is kind of ugly, its a failed attempt at that grey, distressed wood that is trendy right now. The bevel is very small, which explains people's comments on the knives dulling quickly, but they are quality steel, so a few minutes with a whet stone or a professional sharpening will correct this, and they will last you years, so its well worth it. There is no honing steel. The steak knives don't have the serated tip that previous versions had. Pros: High carbon, stainless steel. So they take an edge, and hold it. They arrived razor sharp, although professional sharpening may be needed down the line. The Chef's, Santoku, and bread knife are almost perfected weighted. The handles feel great in my wide mit of a hand. Although I wrote more about the cons, I still say this is a solid knife set, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a full, home knife set.

Beautiful set! Got it on a great sale so had to get it. My mother has had the same set for over 10 maybe even 15 years and so I chose to make the same investment. Over that span of time they’ve added and changed the design which I think is for the better! More of a dark walnut in person than the photo shows. Each knife is labeled what type of knife it is which is also convenient. Negative is that the knives don’t come with instructions on which hole they should be placed in which would’ve been nice. Knives feel like the same, good quality as they were in the past. Hoping with time they surpass that of their old design.

Highly recommend this knife set. Very well made and the wooden block is very nice.

The knife set is wonderful! It is convenient and guaranteed to be sharp. The hollow handles feel comfortable and look nice in the setting. A reasonable price makes this knife set a great addition to the kitchen.

I was missing a knife and now they all are starting to rust!
