How Big Is Allah? (Children's First Questions) [Apple, Emma] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. How Big Is Allah? (Children's First Questions) Review: Answers the question very well! - I am a fan of Emma Apple. But I lingered the longest time over getting my first Emma Apple book because first, I assumed my child was too young for it and second I wasn't sure how she answered the very sensitive question. Well, the book is easy to read and you can use it with all ages of children. Also I want to share a quote from page 20: "We will never know the size of Allah, but we can observe the size of the things he created around us." That's the premise of the book, but it's a satisfying conclusion. It might help anyone who has any doubt about buying the book. Review: Combines science and life to explain a challenging concepy - This book is simple to read and understand for toddlers. I love that the author incorporates science and real life examples to illustrate something that is very difficult to explain. My 6 year old loved it.

The book How Big is Allah? By Emma Apple is a delightfully fun book that draws on the awe and magnificence of the Earth and Space to explain a difficult concept to children and that puts things into perspective in relation to their own size. It is simple to read but contains within it some very interesting and relevant facts. It starts off by asking the children to reflect on their own size. It makes them think and try to relate their size to the smallest and then the biggest things that they can think of. It then goes on to describe the size of the snowflake all the way to the size of the solar systems and by doing so draws attention to the fact Allah is the CREATOR of all of this, so imagine how great he is?

Kids would love this book even more if the pictures were coloured. Great job on explaining the concept and taking the initiative to bring science and Islam together in a more logical way!

Very nicely explained. An easy to understand explanation of our inability to ever quantity or imagine God's size. Minus one star because the book is rather short yet expensive in relation. Also for a children's book the illustrations would benefit from some color. Our little one was rather bored with the illustrations quickly.

Review of Emma Apple's Questions about Allah books After umming and ah-ing for a while I decided to go ahead and buy these books for my 4 year who has been asking similar questions about Allah. They are a little expensive for what they are in that they are smaller than normal picture books (refer to my photos), and they are in black and white. Perhaps using no colour shifts the attention to the words more whilst fulfilling the need to have something to look at. That being said the actual contents of the books are excellent and probably worth paying the extra money for. They are very well written and approach the subject matters in quite a nice way. I would definitely recommend!

My children loved it. They like maths quite a lot, so telling them how big the universe is, how small we are was fun. And then telling them Allah is the greatest, was calming too. Because then we hand over all our worries to Allah and we have to pray and have faith and somehow things turn out to be in our favor.

The only reason this item has 4 stars instead of 5 is because if the lack of colour and illustrations inside. The pages are black and white and easily tearable. However, it is still a lovely book and an excellent read- I read it to my 1 year baby who enjoys reading anyway. But I can imagine it being a good resource when he is older and starts to ask questions that can be difficult to explain which are answered so poetically in this book. Really great buy, I definitely recommend.
