With this muggy weather at the moment I found buying a fan for my sons room had to be done. I already have another fan in another room which is fine but this Knight brand one is so quiet compared to it. I can’t even hear it through the baby monitor, impressive. Assembling the fan isn’t too much of a problem for anyone, you do get instructions but your find it just makes sense once you get into it. Remember which is important when putting the nut on the threaded bolt in front of the fan you turn it anti clockwise to tighten and clock wise to loosen. I thought I’d mention this as it’s the first opposite build I’ve done. So yeah, the motor is quiet and the fan guard isn’t to much hassle to assemble, did have a slightly bent clamp that goes round the outside of the fan guard but that bends easily back. Do take care with this as the plastic shroud round the motor is very thin plastic and don’t think a crash tip over might not survive a fall. For £17 you do get a good fan though and the X-Wing base stand is nice and heavy and the adjustable pole is easy to move and tightens well. Yes it’s got a few minor flaws but would I buy another? Yes I would, and also it only uses about 40 watts of electric which ain’t bad.

Update 23/7/22: After seller's feedback re removing the black pvc coating on the motor shaft, assembly was OK and, as others have said, the fan itself is strong & quiet. Decent product. Update 18/7/22: Seller replied that black pvc covering should be removed from motor shaft, before pushing on the blade! 16/7/22: Blade won’t push on to motor shaft due to black pvc lining on the shaft. Instructions don’t mention if the pvc cover should be removed so I’m assuming not. Head angle adjustment not working as no way to fix the fan at any one height. Wiring looks too exposed where the fan head joins the base. Still working on it but poor impression so far.

You have to assemble (build) this item (You need patience). It can be quite tricky. When it's assembled, it's very powerful (fast), Quiet (small hum). You need to have patience assembling (building) it. It may look cheap, but it does a good job. (It is cheap). The size of a Power cable is a bit short. So you may need an extension. It will do the job. Would I buy a second one, maybe?

Perfect fan to keep me cool. Easy to put together. Powerful to keep a double bedroom cool.

It's a small cheap fan and it works fine and is reasonably quiet. Probably won't last that long, but it's fine and would buy it again
