Atkins Chocolate Peanut Butter Pretzel Bar - 5 CT

First off, for me, if you want Atkins to work - a diary of some sort is a must-have: Key to Atkins success is being 1000% honest with yourself and keeping an honest tally of your total daily net carbs intake as well as your total daily caloric intake. The reason for the journal is as carb addicts, we tend to allow ourselves to forget a slip here, a slip there. A diary keeps those little slips right in front of you. I've fell off the food diary wagon, only to realize 'it is just one waffle' and 'it is only 2 hot dog buns' and 'it is only a glass of [sugary sports drink]' all came in the same week. If you do not consistently keep to between 18 and 21 net carbs per day, you're not going to find success in Atkins. That preamble over... Atkins makes a ton of good meal bars, snack bars, microwave meals, protein drinks, etc. It took me a solid 3 weeks of sticking to the 'Atkins way' - religiously - before I noticed any substantial progress. I'm not talking just about the scale. I'm talking about losing those sugar cravings that became sugar obsessions before the end of 3 weeks. Then, I literally started craving proteins. All in all I lost 43 pounds on Atkins (178 > 135). These bars, really yummy, are just one of many Atkins products that helped. Atkins ain't cheap, compared to crap-snacks. It is cheap when you factor diabetes meds, cholesterol meds, blood pressure meds, etc. into your food bill and then compare.

I was hesitant to buy these bars-I have tried other bars from this brand and found them to be very dry. These bars surprised me. They are delicious and satisfying. They have a crunch with every bite and rich flavor from the chocolate & peanut butter. I know my diet habits suck so I feel eating these protein bars offers better nutrition when I am tempted to just skip a meal. They are convenient, portable & easy to grab & eat instead of mindlessly reaching for a cookie or a muffin. I have already ordered another box.

One of my y favorite low carb products! I have one of these occasionally for breakfast with a cup of coffee when I want a taste of chocolate & a bit more sweetness. The chocolaty sweetness of the bar goes great with the bitterness of a black coffee. The pretzels give this bar a more crunchy texture, not too hard, a great mouthfeel. I find that in the warmer weather the chocolate tends to melt some and can be a bit messy. I often grab one to keep in the car or in my coat pocket if traveling, they work great to curb my hunger and help keep me from making bad food choices. They have helped me lose 50 lbs. in the last 9 months.

I'm in my car a lot at times and I need a good to snack thats high in protein, and low in sugar/carbs. I bought these for awhile when the local stores quit selling this specific "flavor". Disappointed, I looked and I could buy on Amazon! Yay! I don't eat many of these as I avoid processed food, but they are awesome, convenient, and have decent macros - they are wonderful in a pinch! They stay fresh for a long time - which i need!

These bars are the best Atkins has to offer. They check all the eating highpoints. Great crunch, just enough chocolate, nice size and density, low carbs, high protein. I've started using these as a lunch replacement and they are perfect. They satisfy my appetite, and are really tasty. I know there is a bit of a sticker shock when you see a box of 5 bars around $8 but honestly, these are much larger and robust than most bars. Also, for less than the price of a grab bag of chips you get more for so much less. I defy you to find a better meal replacement for less than $2 that is better fuel and feed for your body. Considering all of this, these are keepers for me.

The item will be expired in few weeks, it caused stomach pains and nausea for every body ate it, we put the rest in the garbage bin.
