Extremely happy with purchase
This review will be similar to my review of the Andis Black wireless edgers we purchased at the same times, as his reaction was similar for both. My husband used to cut hair, the various textures of 'Black' heritage to be specific, and still cuts his and our son's. He is very picky about the clippers he uses, even within his brand of choice, Wahl; so I was expecting him to let me know what he found unacceptable with these. But he was thoroughly satisfied with this one. He has not found any cordless clippers he has liked in the past so I was thrilled he was happy with these. Like the edgers we purchased, he said the blades cut clean, "without bite," and the body did not get too hot. He also said "the vibration was not hand-numbing" as with other brands. Again, I thought the price was high, but he said it was okay for good wireless clippers. He said they 'have a good weight,' a comfortable size (though his hands are kind of big), and so far has had no complaints with the battery life. He his happy to no longer have to work around a cord while using and still be able to give a good cut. This makes them easier to use. His only complaint is that it does not come with a charging dock included. Seriously Wahl? If you have good enough customers to spend that much on clippers, you can add the dock!

Just as good as the barber's clipper
First try, it worked just as well as the barber's as far as I could tell. Comfortable and worked fairly fast, though I'd still recommend taking your time. Being cordless helped when going around my head, and the guards come on and off easily when swapping and stay on during use. Still learning how to best use the taper lever, but very happy with the results. Recommend having someone else to the back/neck tapering if possible. Even though it is cordless, this is the area you're likely to struggle with most.

Great clippers!
Iโd highly recommend these clippers for multiple reasons. First of all theyโre not too loud, they charge fast, and have a decent battery life. Secondly, they just cut great! Super ergonomic in the hands especially if youโre cutting your own hair and fairly light too so definitely easy to use. For the price Iโd say itโs very worth it. If youโre hesitant on buying I say just try them out.

Reliable. Durable. Clean cut
Lives up to its name. Clean cut. Amazing quality. Love the wireless one.

Great clippers, 3 cheers for cordless, but package not perfect for home-use
I'll update this review as I get some more time with the clippers, but initial impressions (unboxing and one haircut) are good! The clippers seem to be very well-made, have a good weight (without feeling too heavy), good ergonomics, and cut well! For a bit of background, I purchased these to cut my own hair. I've done so with a cheap set of Conair clippers from Walmart for the past ... 10-12 years I believe. While they got the job done and earned their $30-ish purchase price many times over, there were a few things about them that I wished were different from day one. First of all, they were corded, but 10-12 years ago there just weren't good (affordable) cordless options and battery technology was still mostly NiCd / NiMH. Lithium-based batteries today are much more betterer! :) Other annoyances were the fact that they were fairly loud and didn't cut quite as well - especially if I tried to go faster - when compared to the ones my barber used any time I'd go see her. The Wahl Cordless Magic Clips looked like just the item to address all the shortcomings of the old Conairs when they began to malfunction. They were cordless (Yay!), professional quality for better quality cut and more power to allow moving a bit faster, and from reviews and a few videos seemed to be a bit quieter. Again, I'm only one cut into using these, but so far they've lived up to my expectations in all these areas! So why have I deducted a star? Well, there are a few reasons, all minor, and only one directly related to the clippers themselves. With regard to the clippers, the Conairs had very definite settings when adjusting the taper lever. The Wahls seem to be more "infinitely adjustable", without the little detents that the lever clicks into as you adjust. This is not a huge thing obviously, but since I got used to it, it was nice to know I was always setting the taper lever at the same setting each time. I appreciated the repeatability of the Conair design a bit more. The other items are more related to packaging and accessories. Again, keep in mind that i'm comparing this to a set of $30 clippers from Walmart ... also, I understand that the Wahls are marketed as a professional set and not as much for the home user. This difference in target audience, of course, is probably the reason for my perceived shortcomings, but still ... if Conair could do it for $30, then Wahl could do it for $80-90. Just sayin. Anyway, the Conairs came in a nice hard-plastic box that had foam padding and room for the clippers and accessories. The Wahls just have the cardboard packaging which is clearly meant to be discarded rather than used for storage. Since I'm not running a barber shop, mine get stuck under the bathroom counter most of the time and pulled out every other week for a trim. I wish I hadn't chunked the Conair box, because I'd be using it for the Wahls. *facepalm* Also, the Conairs included a nice little brush, about 2" wide, which I presume is designed for cleaning yourself and surfaces of hair clippings as well as a tiny brush for cleaning the clippers themselves. The Wahls just have the tiny one. Thankfully I DID keep the one from the Conair set because it's invaluable for cleaning up the bathroom counter after I cut my hair. Much easier than most anything else I've tried because it actually gets all the hair up without the hair sticking to it. And not that I really used these items as much, but the Conair set included a small set of scissors and a better (IMO) comb than what came with the Wahls. As I mentioned above, I do understand the likely reason behind some of this ... a professional will have professional scissor and combs, they'll likely be leaving the clippers out at all times, etc. I was just underwhelmed when I found that these, which cost 3 times as much as my old ones, didn't have some of the same handy accessories. Overall though, I am VERY happy with my purchase. The little nit-picky things I've identified as negatives will likely be forgotten within a few months. As long as these last as long or longer than my previous set, I won't hesitate to recommend them to others!

Skip buying cheap clippers every year and just buy this one
You get what you pay for. I was done with buying the "TJ Maxx special" $20 clippers that would either fail mid-cut or result in me having to Bic the ol' noggin. These are pro-grade clippers, and you can tell because they are weighty and feel solid. I basically shave my whole head every 2-3 weeks, and these deliver perfectly with no fuss. Cordless is also a huge win so there's no cord distraction. Just remember to keep them clean! I use a tooth brush to remove hair after each use and then add a bit of clipper oil to the blades so they're ready for the next buzz. Highly recommend! Buying better is a great way to buy less.

A 5 star Made in USA clipper
I love that Wahl supporters the American worker. And as long as they continue to do so, I will support and buy from them ALWAYS. My last clipper I bought almost 20 years ago from Wahl, finally hit the bucket. The wire broke from too much twisting. And it was near where it goes into the clipper. So, I could not strip the wire and reconnect. So, I wanted a quality product, but more importantly, support my fellow Americans. So, I knew who to turn to. And of course, I was not disappointed. This clip is wireless. But you do have the option to use the charging wire if you want. But as long as you charge it, it will hold a charge for a long time. The motor noise is very smooth an quiet. No need to adjust the motor speed like the other ones they sell for $20-$40 ish dollars. This is a one speed. You can adjust the height of the blade. Comes with a few clipper blades. I would recommend if you want to use it for longer hair cuts, to purchase a set that comes with small to very tall blades, like the #10, 12, 14, etc. They are found on Amazon. It also comes with a brush and oil, with instructions. It does not come with a barber robe. You will have to purchase that separate if you want to keep the hair off of you. They have nice ones on Amazon for like $15-$25 dollars. The one I got is very nice and has a hair brush to get all the small hairs off. Some people might look at the $90 dollar price and say that is too much. Even say, all I need is a $30 one and it does everything I need. And that may be true. But having both of the price ones, I can tell you, especially if you cut your hair a bit long, over an inch, this is the way to go. With clean hair, and a proper oiled blade, this not only cuts quick, but gives you an even cut. So, when your hair starts to grow, it won't grow uneven because of the clipper. The hair does not get caught in the blades, which may cause pulling. And having it portable, makes it easy to take it with you, and do hair cuts any where. It is very annoying cutting hair with the cord in the way and hitting myself or my kids face or head. I highly recommend this over the $30-$40 ish dollar ones. But whatever you decide to do, stick with Wahl and support your fellow American jobs. Without them having jobs, they cannot buy your products or services. It is not one companies job to create American jobs, so the other companies can have sweat shops in China to have record profit "margins." Buy American, save our country. This is the first review in over 150 that I can say, "Made in the USA."

Great clipper but โฆ
Clipper is so smoothe and efficient. Wahl is the best. The cheap plastic guard that came with the clipper kept falling off in the middle of a shave. I bought an inexpensive replacement guard from Amazon that fits and stays perfectly.

Gold Magic Clipper
I have been a barber for 35years. Wahl has always been my default choice of tools. I possess and have used Wahl clippers and Detailers all my professional life and I can state categorically that this is the best Clipper I have used by far. Great ergonomically. Light in weight for the power. Very sharp. They do cost but I feel are good value for money. I cannot recommend these Clippers enough.

Brand new but wouldn't charge
I bought this brand new but it wouldn't charge. Wahl customer service wasn't brilliant - they said they would repair it if i sent it at my own expense to the US. Thankfully Amazon were great and helped me sort it but you don't expect brand new products to just not work. I googled the issue and there are forums and YouTube videos so i'm evidently not alone.
