Excellent blender
When the plastic locking tabs on my Ninja smoothie blender wore away I wanted to upgrade to a stronger and more durable quality blender. This is exactly what I looked for. I mainly make smoothies and soup, all’ve been silky smooth, far smoother than the Ninja output. I didn’t realise what I’d been settling for until I upgrade to this. Noise level is pretty good, for the Ninja I got “loud environment “ warnings from my watch and always wore my noise cancelling headphones (it was ridiculously loud), but while the Magimix Blender is still loud-ish, it’s not anywhere near this-hurts-my-head level of loud. Quality wise this has a lovely solid feel. The base unit is weighty and feels very stable in use. The glass jug feels wonderfully sturdy. Cleaning is super easy, the cleaning cycle does a really good job. I won’t be using it for nuts and thicker things like hummus, I have the food processor for that, so no experience with how it handles blending or cleaning thicker mixes. Functionally wise, I love the different programs, turn the dial to the function you need and press auto with super results. Clean cycle, ice, smoothie, soup, dessert all tested and all are excellent. Easy to use, easy to clean, excellent results, sturdy and well made, this feels like it will last for years even with near daily use. Love it.

Good blender, built to last
I've had this for a while now and very happy with it. It's very simple to use and does a good job. It seems built to last - and I have had a Magimix food processor for over 20 years, which is still going strong - so I do expect this to last a long time. It looks lovely on our worktop too.

Love my blender and delighted with the free cups too
I deliberated for a long time over blenders. I loved some of the more pricey fabulous looking ones and wondered if I ought to be getting a much more expensive one for performance as well as looks. I really wanted one that could handle spices, nuts, large and small quantities, hot and cold- I wanted it to do everything and be strong and long lasting as well. In the end, I opted for this because it was a good in between choice I thought. The red is nice, the look is less stylish than some of the ones I was intested in like the Kitchenaid, and less desirable maybe than the £700- £1000+ Vitamixes, but it has attachments which I wanted and others often do not, and it was a mere fraction of the price. It has a motor guaranteed for 30 years. It fits under my counter top. It does everything I wanted. I got a very good price on Amazon, and applied for the two free blender cups which are a great bonus. I googled the mill and got a fantastic price on that too. So I got it all for under £200 which is a bargain for a durable impressive machine like this, with extras. I've loved using it, it's extremely versatile. Thick liquids can be an issue but the paddle thing sorts that out easily.

Nice quality, works well.
It’s a good blender that works well and I like the fact that it had a glass jar rather than a plastic one. I also like the simplicity of the controls and the functions that it has. Four stars only because they could have supplied a tool to get the jug apart. The plastic screw on cap that holds the blade assembly onto the jug is sometimes very difficult to get off and I’m pretty strong and have big hands. I am aware that I probably put it on tighter than most but I know it would be a limitation for some people. I have had several different types of blenders and I have now had this one for about six months and I would recommend it.

Excellent value
This is a big blender, ideal for bulk blending for the freezer or for a large family. The container is made of thick glass which makes it quite heavy but also gives a feeling of quality. The lid can be a bit difficult to remove as it is a very tight fit (I am 76 and my hands are not as strong as they used to be). Using the blender could not be easier - chop up bulky ingredients, select the mode and press "Auto" - job done. I have used it to make soups, smoothies and as a mill - all with excellent results. Cleaning is also easy - there is a built-in cleaning mode which does the hard work and the base is easily removed to clear any stubborn bits and to dry it. My only complaint is that the "plug" for the centre of the lid is not the best fit and does not always stay in place - a minor inconvenience. Overall, a well made blender with a good motor, which feels as if it will last a long time. Excellent value.

Great build quality
It's an ill wind that doesn't blow some good, and when I accidentally set fire to my Tefal soup maker, (I stood it on the top of the hob, then lit the gas under the wrong burner!) I consoled myself by buying this to replace it. It might not cook things, but it's an awful lot easier to clean. It looks fantastic. Very clean, uncluttered lines, with a very nice finish to the base (I chose the cream version) and a very solid feel, the glass jug is attractive as it's square, which also means it's easy to pour the contents. Very simple, self explanatory controls. I love the fact that the jug lifts out without having to turn it, which, on my Kenwood, for example, often means it's really hard to remove. The 'docking port' is so simple and easy to clean, with a gully to allow any liquid to run out. And, of course, it's very easy to clean. All I have to do is remember to put the lid on, which I didn't first time, and ended up with tomato and lentil soup in my hair. You can't design against stupidity!

Very disappointing
I have had this blender for just over a year and have used it very little. I used it today to blend some soup and the soup leaked out of the bottom, so much so that it has penentrated the bottom of the motor. As the blender bottom assembly was firmly attached to the glass jar throughout, this leakage can have only been through the bearing of the shaft that turns the blades. This is very disappointing. My last blender, a cheap one, failed in the same manner but that was after ten years. Don't be conned into paying extra for this supposedly reputable brand - it's not worth what it costs.

Quiet, with long warranty, but strange grinding noise
Nice and relatively quiet, but it does make a strange grinding noise often, it has been like that since the first use. I am concerned that there is something wrong with this one, but it has kept working so far (one month). I appreciate that it should have spare parts available for repairs for 30 years

La prise électrique n’est pas une prise européenne.

It works, but not on the level of a VitaMix.
It isn't a VitaMix but it is the best functioning blender I have found so far in Ireland. I make a protein shake that I've been making for more than 20 yrs now, using a whole zuchinni/courgette. In the US, I have a VitaMix and it works very simply & easily, you only need to chop the zuch into about 20 pieces and it blends quickly & completely smoothly into the shake. This blender will blend it, utilizing the smoothie function on the dial, you have to run it through 3 entire smoothie function time periods & sometimes a little more & you have to chop the courgette into tiny pieces, like 50+ to ensure smooth blending. For the price paid, it does a decent job for my purpose. Much better than a Tefal blender we had first tried here in Ireland.
