OK charger at a cheap price
This item is fine. Upside: It does the job and charges the laptop, price is significantly lower than the original. Heat level is reasonable and comparable with the original. Downside: If using the 3.0 * 1.1mm (I use it for Aspire 3), the tip is not loose but also not perfect fit to the charge port. It would not slide off easily on its own, but if slightly knocked it can disconnect. Definitely recommend to treat it with care. For performance alone I would rate it 3 star but considering the price after comparing with the alternatives, I have to give it 4.

Does the job
I was a little concerned when I saw that one reviewer wrote that this charger did not fit his Aspire 5, but it fits mine fine. It is slightly loose fit, but no different to the official charger that I am replacing. Another reviewer said that his burnt out after a month and as I hare only had mine a few days, I may have to review my review in the future

Flimsy
This is the second time I have bought this charger, and both times the same problem has happened where the bit that connects to the laptop breaks off. It is a flimsy design. First time it lasted for a few months but this time it broke within days.

A budget charger that works for many but carries a real lottery element
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars The charger arrived a day ahead of schedule in modest packaging containing the adapter, a detachable mains lead and a brief manual, exactly as the listing promises. There is no setup beyond connecting the cable and plugging in. First impressions are of a compact, lightweight unit, small enough to be genuinely travel friendly, with output specifications of 19V and 3.42A that match the 65W requirement of the Acer Aspire, Swift and Spin laptops it targets, and backward compatibility with the lower 40W and 45W ratings. On build, it presents adequately for the price. The casing feels light rather than flimsy, the cable is of reasonable length though several owners wished for a longer run, and the listing makes much of intelligent protection against overcurrent, overheating, short circuit and voltage error. In everyday use it charges at a sensible rate, and a good number of buyers confirm it runs no hotter than the original Acer unit it replaces, which is reassuring given how warm cheap adapters can become. Two reservations weigh heavily, however, and they are the reason for a middling score. The first is fit. The 3.0 by 1.1mm tip is a recurring sore point, with numerous owners, and my own experience, finding it sits slightly loose in the port, so that a knock can interrupt charging, and the listing being flagged by Amazon as a frequently returned item only underlines the point. The second, and more serious, is consistency. While most units perform well, a meaningful minority of reviews report outright incompatibility despite the laptop being named in the compatibility list, or failure within days to months, in a few alarming cases with the adapter burning out. This is the gamble inherent in an unbranded replacement, and it cannot be glossed over. This suits anyone needing an inexpensive spare or emergency charger for a compatible Acer machine, who is willing to verify their exact model and part number against the extensive list and accept some variability. Those who depend on a single reliable charger for daily work, or who want the assurance of an original, would be better served paying more for a branded equivalent. On value it is cheap and works often enough to justify the outlay, but the failure reports temper that. A functional, keenly priced charger that does the job for the majority, undermined by a loose fitting tip and a genuine spread of reliability outcomes that range from years of service to early burnout. Worth considering as a budget spare with eyes open, which places it honestly at the midpoint with three stars.
