Are there 3 bowls-one for flour, one for egg, one for breadcrumbs

No. You put your fry coating in it. You do the egg dip in a separate bowl then put a large batch of fish, chicken, whatever in the breader.

I purchased this about a month ago and I just use it yesterday. I had a major problem putting the top on the bottom part, is there any solution?

We have 2 of these. We just get the lid lined us and I think they work better the more you use them. We have used ours a lot.

Yes it is dishwasher safe. I only have put in on the top rack couse it is plastic. It is quite large.
