This is a great set, especially for the price. They are pretty safe but they are SHARP. They are very easy to use and the cuticle scraper/remover fits nicely in your hand. They seem pretty sturdy, I've done at least a dozen manicures with mine and it's still sharp enough. I have washed them with dish soap and water repeatedly and seen no rust.

When they say sharp, boy, do they mean it. This cuticle trimmer is a precision instrument that appears to quite possibly have trained with ninjas. I barely introduced them to my finger and my cuticle politely packed its bags and left. No tugging, no wrestling, no dramatic struggle. The grip feels solid, the spring is smooth, and the blades line up perfectly. Even the case is robustly crafted. I’ll be keeping them tucked safely away - and not rattling around with the rest of my nail care tools and files and such. It’s a solid, tin-like case, as well. Lined on the top with a thin layer of foam. On the bottom, there’s a molded, form-fitting, thick plastic tray with a scant layer of felt atop it. Wholly suitable for travel, as well as storage. For households with littles, this is also a great way to keep it out of tiny, curious hands. I’m super impressed thus far with the construction and functionality. I advise these are ideal for nails on the thinner side; these are not your granddaddy’s thick nail clippers of old.

This is a great tool - versatile, and great quality. I especially like the open-ended scraper, which does a brilliant job getting pre-soaked old nail colour off your nails, ready for redo.
