If you asked my dogs, they'd tell you they hate it! 😂 I think it's the vibration on their nails more than the noise because the motor is actually pretty quiet. My dogs are just extra sensitive. This thing is amazing! The motor isn't silent but definitely quiet enough where my dogs weren't immediately off put by it, but I've always had to take my one dog to the vet to get her nails trimmed because she wiggles so much I was afraid to clip her too short but this thing has a guard and you just put their nail in and while she did wiggle, she didn't care much at all about the Dremel I was able to get all her nails easily and I didn't have to worry about hurting her. No more vet visits!!

Exactly what I expected from such a brand. Basically a reworked typical Dremel for them to market as a pet specific tool for more than whatever anyone else is selling. Don't get me wrong, it works, it's got the cool guard thing for the sanding disk. It came with a basic Dremel kit for sanding things, I wouldn't say any of that part is specific to pets. The noise is typical, it vibrates but not too bad. It's got torque and power for sure. The problem with Dremels is the lack of speed variability which, this has. To conclude, ya it works, I was able to sand down my 40lb sassy old lady dogs inner nails. I guess I'd say it's worth the money given you can kinda use it as a normal Dremel if you want to.

My mini goldendoodle has always hated having her nails touched, and no amount of desensitizing has helped in almost 5 years. I do all of my dog's grooming besides her nails since I got her during COVID and groomers weren't accepting new customers at that time. I learned everything out of necessity, and she's extremely patient with me. She even lets me shave her paw pads now easily, which did take a lot of desensitizing, but nails I've had no luck. I tried another grinder that was the most highly rated one at the time on Amazon 4 years ago from Casfuy, but the second it touched her nail she bolted. Since I've had no luck myself, I've always taken her to the vet to have her nailed trimmed every 6 weeks, but they just recently decided they can't do just nail trims anymore unless you're coming in for a medical appointment. This was a huge blow since we've been doing this for years, and I really don't like bringing her to groomers where they take her in the back. I got her a scratch board and its worked somewhat ok for most of her front nails, but I couldn't ignore her back paws any longer. I decided to try trimming them myself since her back paws are less sensitive than her front, but on nail 2 she freaked out, jerked her paw in a weird way, and I ended up getting her quick. The scene that ensued could have been out of a movie, with blood all over my living room floor, carpet, couch, myself, and then cornstarch getting kicked into the air coating everything. It was a mess, and took over 30 min to get her nail to stop bleeding. After that I knew she'd never let me near her with the nail clippers again, so I had to go back to the drawing board. My coworker suggested the nail grinder again, and I figured I'd try a different one since I was out of ideas doing this myself. I decided to get this one since I know the brand well, and it was so highly rated (and also because I knew on Amazon I could return it easily if it didn't work out). I had very little confidence this was gonna work, and figured I'd be spending months desensitizing her. On the first use she let me do all of her nails! Don't get me wrong, it did take a decent amount of rotisserie chicken bribing from my partner simultaneously, but I was shocked that I actually got through all of them (even the front paws AND dreaded dew claws!). I started on level 1, but quickly moved to level 2 since 1 felt like it was doing nothing. I will say level 2 is significantly louder that 1, but my dog quickly got over it. I haven't gone beyond 2 yet, but I'd imagine 3 is much louder as well. I was so beyond thrilled to be able to do this successfully and couldn't believe my dog didn't put up a fight. Overall, I'd highly recommend these, especially if you've already tried cheaper brands with no success.

This is the one for large dogs! Ordered it on Saturday night, received it early Sunday...charged it while I read the instructions, used it on my 60# black standard poodle (thick, black nails) and it is 100% easier, faster, quieter, lighter than our regular cordless Dremel. We only need to trim her front paws, rarely her back ones. The plastic guard was simple to use and in less than 5 minutes I was done. Our big girl is not a squirmer, so that helps but I could tell she was way more comfortable using the new one.

Great tool. Has multiple speeds and is reasonably quiet. Only wish is that there was a reverse direction switch. With diamond concave grinder it makes quick work of doing the fur boys nails. Leaves them rounded and smooth. Rechargeable battery lasts thru multiple trimmings before needing a recharge.

Really handy tool for dog nails. It’s powerful and easy to use. I’ve never needed to use it at full power as it works perfectly on lower settings and that makes it quieter too. Well worth the money for safe and stress free nail management. My dog isn’t scared of it at all. Would buy again.

Was not sure if this would be suitable for my 2 pugs but I was very impressed with how little a noise it makes, just need a 2nd person to hold them and good old treats during paws. My girl has long quicks during summer due to less walking from heat so I can use this every week or two gradually reducing a bit at a time to reduce her quicks. Highly recommend.

So far, so good. The instructions are pretty tricky so I looked on YouTube to work out how to change over the different attachments. However, it’s quiet and powerful enough to trim down the overgrown soles of my mini-Shetland pony who has really hard feet.
