My Favorite Affordable Mascara I’ve been using this Essence mascara for years, and I honestly love it. The price is so affordable, but the quality is much better than you would expect for the cost. It gives my lashes a fuller, thicker look and works really well for everyday makeup. One of my favorite things is that it stays in place throughout the day without smudging or leaving black marks under my eyes, even when I wear it for hours. I’ve tried more expensive mascaras, but I keep coming back to this one. It’s affordable, reliable, and gives me the look I want. Definitely one of my favorite drugstore mascaras and a product I’ll continue repurchasing.

i use this mascara faithfully because i absolutely LOVEE it! this holds my lashes all day and lasts through sweat and tears. i always recommend this brand to my friends. i swear by this mascara!! i wish i could give 1,000 stars!!

I love this mascara. It is waterproof and easy to use. My only complaint is the formula is dry and crumbly as the day goes by and it fell in my eye. It is very affordable and did not burn. It does have a smell but it is not too strong.

Hasn’t failed me yet. Makes my lashes look long and super easy to do bottom lashes with. I’m a girlie with really hooded eyes so mascara is kinda hard. with especially how sweaty i get. However, i’ve gone skating for hours sweating. and barely ANYTHING smudged! Top Tier mascara!

Where to start - I’ve seen a ton of reviews and people using this brand of mascara. I believe there’s mascara from this same brand that has become extremely popular but I needed a waterproof option. Upon opening - the packaging is cute, sleek & lightweight. Easily fits in a purse or makeup bag. Nothing too extravagant. The wand is very nice, it’s on the skinner side with a nice length and gets a generous amount of product on without overloading the wand. Now when it came to application - I had no issues, I typically get frustrated when trying to apply mascara to both ends of my lashes, mine are sort of long and bunched together in the corners often making them clump or I’m not able to evenly distributed product onto them. I still had that issue but was able to get in there much easier and quicker. The mascara once on felt nice and lightweight. BUT it did flake on me quite a bit. I also went to look in the mirror a few hours later and it was all under my eyes and creases. Granite, it’s hot where I’m at but I was in the house so not too impressed with the “waterproof” claim. My lashes didn’t seem to extend very much, the pigment wasn’t anything too impressive either. It was really just a basic layer of mascara. It gave a little length and darkened my lashes. When it came to washing it off - it was fairly easy. It did clump and stick to some of my lashes once the water hit making it kind of annoying. After two showers I still felt like there was some leftover product and blackness around my eyes. Overall I’m just not very thrilled with this mascara. It’s definitely an affordable option and something I’d keep in my bag for a Quick Look or to travel with. I don’t believe I’d keep purchasing it though, I really wanted a product that had a stinger waterproof effect with it being 90 degrees most days. I’m at the pool with a toddler or I’m sweating just doing basic chores. The last thing I want is raccoon eyes that I don’t even notice until the end of the day. The flakiness isn’t great in hot weather either, once you touch your face any little pieces that flaked off are not being smeared all over the place.

Who lied about this mascara? It's clumpy it's difficult to remove and I don't know if I'm tripping, but the volume doesn't even matter because of how clumpy the mascara is on my lashes it's way too waterproof. I can't even remove all of it with my oil cleanser I'm never purchasing this again, but I love I love it for like a cheap thrill and the fact that it's vegan and cruelty free.

I can honestly say it completely lives up to its reputation! ​For the price, the volume and length you get from this mascara are absolutely incredible. It genuinely gives that "false lash" effect without needing to layer on multiple heavy coats. The wand shape is great for building up the lashes and spreading the product evenly, though you just have to be mindful to let it dry slightly between coats to avoid clumping. ​The waterproof formula is serious business. It holds up flawlessly through long days and unexpected Ohio humidity without flaking off or leaving you with raccoon eyes by the afternoon. Because it is so impressively resilient, you will absolutely need a dedicated, oil-based makeup remover or balm to take it off at the end of the day—regular soap and water won't cut it! ​If you are looking for high-end performance on a strict budget, this is a massive win. Five stars!

This is my favorite mascara. I normally but somewhere else, that costs less. But obviously buying from Amazon, has little hassle. The reason I love this mascara is because I dispose of my mascaras often. I never keep them for the recommended time. So I don't want to pay a lot. I've used Dior, YSL, and so many Sephora carries. But they just weren't worth it. Even if I want to splurge, I still don't feel like it. I do still use an eyelash primer because my eyelashes are fine. But it really is marvelous. Just know - it is waterproof - so don't complain when taking it off requires a bit more work.

Does the job, great for swimming and comes off quite well with an oil based make up remover.
