Watco oil is the best.
I love Watco oil. Super easy to use, and leaves a great surface that you can overcoat if desired.

Goes on easy.
Great product. I had a new house built but I did all the inside wood work. Red Oak cabinets, trim and doors. Used this on all the wood just to take out part of the red. Finish with a satin polyurethane.

Awesome
This stuff is very good. Nice and thick with excellent pigment and dries pretty quick. I like the quart size the best. Nice to have extra.

Easy to apply, but get the good gloves
Danish oil is super easy to apply. You could use a brush, but you can get great results using โShop Towelsโ, a paper towel that in theory doesnโt have any lint. You could use clean microfiber cloth as well. MAKE SURE TO WEAR GLOVES. Not latex gloves (they will melt), but high quality chemical-resistance gloves. You will have to get your wood clean by removing any paint or previous finishes. A light sanding is good, followed by washing with a clean wet cloth. Allow the wood to dry before you apply the Danish oil. One or two coats, should do it and it dries fast - Like 20 minutes between coats. It is permanent, so you will have to do a lot of sanding to remove it if it is too dark. So test it first. Some people use a polyethylene finish coat, but I donโt bother with that usually unless i am finishing a top that might be exposed to water. One piece I did, I got a glass top from the hardware store rather than try and apply a water resistant finish. Good luck. Remember a little goes a long way, but donโt get caught not having enough to finish.

Watco Danish oil
That Danish oil is available in Black Walnut is amazing. Use a stain, then reinforce it with the oil. I refinished baseboards, paneling, and did a new chai rail using it, and another stain. I prefer Danish oil over a polyurethane, because it makes a smooth surface that is less prone to casual water, or cold cup damage. also easy to repair a small are. The can it's sent in sucks. The child safe lid refused to grip. I had to dismantle it in order to get to a small metal lid to open the product. The nose or pour opening is not long enough to allow for a smooth pour into a stain rag. Needs a differnt lid, and a new can... the product inside was fine.

So far so good!
I can't speak for the longevity of this product (yet) but it looks stunning on my teak patio furniture! I bought it used and it had been stained with deck stain (no!!). I power washed and sanded most of it off but some just wouldn't budge. The dark walnut Danish oil gave the old teak a beautiful color and is dark enough to help hide the blemishes and remaining old stain. I did two coats and it went on easy and absorbed quickly. We will keep them on a covered porch so I expect them to be beautiful for years. The dark walnut was a medium thickness liquid that went on easy - very forgiving application.
