Very quick and easy to assemble. The steam mop heats up and starts steaming very quickly, and is light and easy to use. The cleaning leaves no streaks and dries within a few minutes and the unit feels stable and quite durable. Some people complain that there isn't a power switch (it switches on as soon as you plug it in and switches off as soon as you unplug it) and no button to press to activate the extra steam, but these are non-issues for me. I would prefer a power switch, but the current setup works fine for me as I don't intend on having it plugged in if I'm not using it anyway and regarding the action to release extra steam, you have to press the handle downwards and release. This is a natural movement when pushing and pulling the mop to clean anyway, so you are releasing extra steam with every stroke and not having to press any buttons in order to do so. If there was a button to activate the extra steam, I would probably have it on all the time anyway so the exclusion of one is one less thing to break. I purchased these when they we're on sale, and the price was so reasonable that I bought 2 of them, gifting one to my mother as she has been considering getting one to clean her kitchen floor with - she really likes using it and completely agrees with me that a power switch and button for steam release are not essentials and the lack of them doesn't detract from the functionality of the mop at all. The water tank for it holds enough for me to comfortably mop my kitchen, front room, small front door entryway and bathroom on one fill with plenty to spare - I live in a 2 bedroom house of average size, so if you have many floors to do you may need to fill it part-way through, but that is very quick to do and the mop heats up again ready to use in mere seconds. Please note, this is a mop and will function just like any mop will, electric or not - it will not pickup debris on your floors and will spread/move it around, so you have to make sure you have swept or vacuumed you floors before using this to clean your floors. Sure, there may be other mops that have more features and/or are cheaper, but I think this one serves its purpose very well and I have no real complaints or issues. If you don't have a steam mop, get one, even if it's not this model - your back and your older self will greatly thank you for it.

Cleans my hard floors quickly and easily. No bending or heavy lifting needed, and minimal sweeping motion is all I have to do. The steam is gentle but very effective, and just the right amount comes out. I have had other steam mops that keak and soak the floor with huge bursts of steam, but that doesn't happen with this one, and my floors were dry in a couple of minutes. The whole thing was easy to put together just clicking the handle in place, and the pads are a generous size. Unfortunately you two come with the mop, so another purchase of more pads will probably be needed. The water tank holds a good amount, so doesnt need filling frequently, and there's easily enough to do my whole house.

I purchased this product for cleaning all the woodens and tiled floors throughout the house. Ease of use: Click fit assembly, heats within seconds, Easy to use, flexible head allows it to be manoeuvred into corners eaisly. No detergent allowed or required really due to temperature of the steam. Chemicals will cause water bottles to crack due to chemical compatibility with water bottle material. (Vax water bottles are known for this, design flaw) Design: This is not a gravity fed water supply to create the steam, this happens as you move the product, as it pumps water down to the heating element. The faster you move the more water is supplied to the heating element hence more steam. This means if you stop the product does not continue to apply steam to the floor in one spot. This can damage laminate floors at the seams. Dislikes: The power cable is just not long enough, in older houses there are a limited amount of plugs and the spacing between these is large. If the cable was 2m longer this would probably accomodate this. Unfortunately as it is i have to unplug more times now. All in all, i am happy with this product and the price i paid for it

Excellent product from Shark, not over complicated and only uses water. Does a great job.

Thus is a very good mop. My other one gave up the ghost so saw this one. Really pleased with the cleaning of it. Very light to use. Quick to heat up and the pads are very easy to wash with washing up liquid. Assembly is easy. Would recommend

Its great once you get the steam going , but alot of hard work to pump the steam out constantly, good for the price it would be better if it had a switch of button

I’ve been using a bucket and mop to clean floors for what seems like a lifetime, in fact it is a lifetime of Cinderella drudgery without the glass slippers. Having given up waiting for a handsome prince to rescue me I decided I’d better migrate to the 21st century and change to a steam mop. So far so good. I don’t worship the Goddess of Cleaning but I do like to feel I can actually see what my floors look like having gone to great lengths to choose them. Problem is, my 6year old husband drops all sorts on the floor, particularly dried fruit, which he then proceeds to stamp on to make sure they remain firmly fixed to said floors. Of course, silly me, I forget he’s several decades older than 6! With my old mop I had to wash over several times before the little squashed debris would give in but I’m pleased to say the Shark Steam Mop takes no prisoners and removes them almost straight away. It’s light and easy to move around and the business end swivels to reach those difficult hiding places. The steam generates quite quickly, though probably slower than me before a cleaning session, and you need to keep pumping to generate the steam. Leave it while you cool down and you will need to wait just a few seconds for more steam. Being steam generated there is less surface water left and I don’t need to do the two footed floor shuffle with a towel to dry the floors so the 6 year old doesn’t fall and break his neck. I’m not going to show you a photo of the couple of cleaning pads I used, as reading the reviews I am not alone at the amount of collected dirt. Suffice to say I’m a happy bunny and recommend anyone living with animals, kids, and partners/husbands to buy one of these mops and forget rescue from fairy tale characters.

Easy to use, very effective.

This was a replacement for a B&D steam mop- which I was happy with until it died 2 years into our relationship and, of course, just as I had purchased a bunch of replacement scrubber pads. This mop is different as it heats the water but steam is created by your own back and forth motion which forms the pressure to provide the steam. I know it sounds suspect on many levels but I can say it works and I do think this basic design should outlast the B&D mop. On the plus side the power cord is a reasonable length so no more extension cords and the B&D scrub pads fit almost seamlessly so no loss there- in fact I prefer them to the scrub pads that came with this mop. Lastly, I really like that this mop stands perfectly vertical when not in use and the cord winds up neatly on the handle. This makes it much nicer to store, no flopping around in a corner with a dangling power cord.

I always look at the bad reviews first and I was worried that it wouldn't live up to all the 5 star reviews. But it's amazing. So easy and so efficient. Way better than mopping. I live in aus so had to buy an adapter but apart from that I couldn't recommend this enough!
