Excellent Avocado Oil...Read edited updated review for more info
Edit 4-11-17: Amazon discontined offering La Tourangelle Avocado oil via Subscribe and Save which is a shame. It is still available and pretty much the same price I was previously payinig. I wanted everyone to know that I just had a very nice exchange of e-mails with someone from La Tourangelle. I had questions about their manufacturing process which were all answered to my satisfaction. I also asked if any of their avocados come from fields watered with refined fracking water. I was told that they have reached out to all of their avocado suppliers and have been assured that none of them water fields with fracking water. I continue to believe that, for the money, this is the best avocado oil I can buy for the good health of my husband and I. I believe La Tourangelle strives to provide the best avocado oil available for the price and does their best to give excellent customer service. This is my first experience with Avocado Oil. I was expecting a stronger avocado taste but I was wrong. THIS is what I wanted. The taste is so smooth, rich, buttery, and mild. There's no acidic bite at all. If I really concentrate when tasting it I can taste a hint of avocado. My husband says he really tastes the avocado and it's great. I guess everyone's taste buds are different. In any event we both love it. It's wonderful for sauteing, especially if your using a little higher heat. I don't agree with the people who suggest this is good for temps up to 500 degrees. I wouldn't want to go higher than 375. I used it last night to saute' assorted veggies and then scrambled them with eggs and broken up pieces of Morning Star Sausage. It was very good. I didn't miss butter at all which is what I usually like to use with eggs. Olive oil and eggs just don't do it for me. From what I've read, there are significant health benefits derived from avocado oil. I'm hooked. I'm keeping this on subscribe and save. It's now olive oil and avocado oil for almost everything except baking. Oh..add Sesame oil to that list. Can't make Chinese dumplings without that for the dipping sauce and it's a must for fried rice. I buy Kadoya right here on Amazon. It's the best sesame oil I've ever tried. Update: I'm on my 3rd can of Tourangelle Avocado Oil and I continue to love it. It's become my go to oil for almost everything including messaging any drips of oil into my hands to moisturize. I freeze a lot of roasted pepper from my garden in the summer time. I take out a few peppers at a time and put them in oil to defrost and keep in the frig. I love it on Rosemary bread with Feta cheese. This oil is much tastier than using olive oil. When all the peppers are used up we soak up any left over oil with bread and eat it. It's just wonderful tasting oil.

Good oil, light flavor, good with heat
Very light flavor. So it’s good for use in dressings or multiple forms of cooking. Heat resistance is pretty decent. Haven’t noticed any wild smoke points. Good quality oil especially for the price.

Similar to Olive Oil with More Uses and a More Robust Flavor!
Scientific studies have shown that the healthiest oils are rich in Polyunsaturated fats because they contain omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids, which lower "bad" (low-density lipoproteins) cholesterol and increase "good" (high-density lipoproteins) cholesterol and Monounsaturated fats. Avocado oil is high in Monounsaturated fatty acids and vitamin E. It has a fat profile similar to olive oil, but it has a high smoke point, making it great for frying. It has the flavor and nice green color that's characteristic of the flesh of the avocado. La Tourangelle's Avocado oil is expeller-pressed and free of any chemicals, and 100% natural. It has a nice avocado flavor, a strong smell, and a bright green color. I use it mostly for salad dressings and vinaigrettes. I've also used it for frying northern red snapper and trout and it gave the fish a delicious and unique flavor. I've also used it as a moisturizer for my children's skin and hair. I apply it to slightly damp skin and it penetrates and rapidly absorbs, leaving the skin soft and hydrated. I apply a few drops to the tips (ends) of damp hair and it leaves it soft, eliminating frizz, while adding shine and bounce. I store it in the refrigerator to keep it fresh and bring it to room temperature before using. Taste is highly subjective but I find avocado oil to be much more robust in flavor and general deliciousness than olive oil! I have tried other brands of Avocado oil and La Tourangelle's was the most delicious and flavorful, similar to that of a crushed avocado! Grade A+

Great flavor and versatility
This avocado oil stands out with its rich green hue and buttery flavor—excellent when drizzled over salads or used for light sautéing. The high smoke point gives confidence in a wider range of cooking scenarios, and it aligns well with health-conscious cooking. However, the price is notably higher than standard cooking oils, which might hold some people back from using it daily for heavy cooking. Also, its distinct taste means it may assert itself in dishes where you prefer a more neutral oil. Overall: a strong choice when you want to elevate a dish or treat yourself, but maybe not the go-to for every day.

Great not just for cooking, but for face, hair, and body too!
This is the first time i've tried an avocado oil and i have to say that so far, this is a fantastic brand oil. I bought this after hearing about the great benefits of avocado oil and i am very pleased with this product. Unlike most on here, i've used this more for the face and hair and have had great results with it. The packaging is really nice and the size is great for the value (they only sell the 6 oz ounce version in my area). The only thing i'd say that might be a negative is that the top can get a bit messy, since with the way the spout is formed, it can drip from the back and down to the surrounding lid, but it isn't too much of a big deal for me. So, if you're going to travel with some of it, i would suggest putting it in another glass or plastic bottle if you're gonna stuff it in a suitcase. After washing my face, i rub and pat a small amount of the oil onto my face and it traps the moisture in my face nicely. In the morning, my face feels extremely soft and moisturized. I also put a quarter-sized amount of it on my damp hair after conditioning along with my leave-in cream, as i have very dry, curly hair, and it helps trap in the moisture and give it a nice shine. It also distributes the vitamins that are jammed packed within avocado. A lot of people like coconut oil for this, but coconut oil is, unfortunately, too light for my hair. This stuff does the trick, though. A very effective, multi-purpose oil.

Great tasting olive oil
I’m very pleased with this olive oil! The quality is excellent and the flavor is rich, smooth, and fresh. It adds a wonderful taste to salads, pasta, vegetables, and even simple dishes like toasted bread. You can really tell it’s a good quality olive oil.
