How many steps is it to deform?

They each have a different way to transform. Keep in mind they are all small (about 2 or 3 inches), so they have parts that swing away. Optimus is the easiest to transform and the gray car is the hardest. The rest of them transform in 3-4 steps. They are knockoffs so Optimus is not named Optimus and Bumblebee has a different name, but they seem to keep my gransdon busy for several hours.

What makes these particular for boys? Is there a boys only rule for transformers?

I gave one to my little boy and one to my little girl. My daughter liked getting something like her brother, but she doesn’t really play with it. My son really likes them and plays with them a lot. I don’t think there is any rule that these are toys for boys, boys just like them better than girls. But if your girl likes them, more power to her. Mom is a girl and likes to transform them. It’s like a puzzle.

About 2 inches. Very poorly made. Parts fell off on some. Would not buy this product again.

Do they all come together or do you have to buy them separate

They all came in the same package separately wrapped. My nephews loved them.
