This is a world class product and the only brand I use. Forget what others are saying about the taste or consistency. Yes, it has a sawdust like texture and even a slight sawdust like taste (not pungent or worse, like others have described it). If I could place a taste pointer, it would be to say that it’s not unlike what raw grated cauliflower would taste like. In any case, this incredible stuff was highly recommended by a well respected consultant and he was not wrong. It not only works phenomenally well, it’s incredibly good for you in various other health aspects. Question is, do you care to take it regularly. Do you even care for it at all, or do you even need it? You’ll know if you do once you’ve tried it. In terms of consumption, cold fridge water only, stir it up and neck it. Do not use room temperature water, it gets rather too gloopy for most and don’t let it hang around for a minute. Stir and drink! No side affects. Natural pure ingredient.

I’ve tried quite a few psyllium husk products and this is by far the best one. It’s completely flavourless, which makes such a difference. I use it in smoothies or just mixed with water and it’s really easy to take. It’s also great for baking — I use it in home-made bread making and it works really well without changing the taste but gives a better texture. It’s made a big difference to my gut health and it’s a simple way to get extra fibre in every day. Just make sure you drink plenty of water before and after taking it. If you’re new to psyllium, definitely ease yourself in don’t jump straight to a high dose. I have about 15g a day, but I’d recommend starting around 5g to avoid stomach upset. Really pleased with this, my 3rd packet, and will definitely keep buying it.

I use psyllium husk when making gluten-free bread, and my usual supplier was no longer available. It's important for the texture of the bread for it not to be a powder. This product has proved to be very good, being the natural husks, and works very well in my bread. I have bought a second packet.

Besonders positiv finde ich, dass es sich um Bio-Qualität handelt und die Verpackung wiederverschließbar ist. Wer seine Ballaststoffzufuhr unkompliziert erhöhen möchte, macht hier meiner Meinung nach nichts falsch. Wichtig ist nur, ausreichend dazu zu trinken.

The bag has a resealable opening to keep the husk fresh, although sometimes the little pieces of husk get in between, making it hard to seal. I would recommend a different sealing method. Regardless, good product, good price. I am happy with the purchase and super content with the results of adding more fiber to my diet.
