Philips Fabric Shaver, Removes Pills and Lint, Large Blade Surface, Blue

I’m so happy with this shaver! It works really well and does a great job every time. I frequently use it to remove lint and fuzz from my baby’s clothes, and it has never disappointed me. The lint container is easy to empty and clean, and the batteries are simple to insert and replace when needed. I also love that it comes with a small cleaning brush to keep the machine clean and ready to use. It’s very easy to operate, and the compact size makes it perfect for everyday use.

Easy-use handheld shaver for pilling on clothes. I bought this to replace a larger corded one I have that doesn’t work well on my sweaters. Removed fuzz & pilling easily even on the ribbed parts & button/button-hole areas on my sweaters. Removes just enough pilling without shaving excess fabric. Chamber fills up fast so I just keep a garbage pail nearby to empty it. Small brush helps get excess if caught by the blades. I’d much rather have a smaller unit than a bigger one with a bigger chamber that doesn’t work as well as this one. If you have a problem shaving pills, just slowly make small circles around it.

I had an old fabric shaver that I previously used to de-pill fabric. It quit working a few years ago and I have been looking for a replacement. I saw a Consumer Reports review comparing several fabric shavers. The Philips Fabric Shaver was one of them. It wasn't CR's #1 choice, but they rated it almost as high and it cost less than 1/4 of the price. I purchased this model and was very happy with my decision. The fabric shaver does a very good job by removing pills easily. The shaving surface is large enough to complete the de-pilling task quickly. It holds a lot of removed material, and it is easy to clean. It takes 2 AA batteries. It is nicely designed but I needed to read the instructions to be aware of how to reach the different parts of the equipment. I'm very happy with this small but useful machine.

This thing is great. It works better on certain fabrics/pills, but so far has made everything better than if I didn’t use anything. I’d recommend trying it. The other reviews are correct that you have to empty the container pretty frequently but it takes 2 seconds to pop it off, shake it over the trash, and pop it back on. I attached a pic of a hat where you can see the right side is shaved, and the left side is not. Almost looks new.

I have been looking for a fabric shaver or we call it a de piller for quite some time. I decided to try this fabric shaver and I’m glad I did. It’s very easy to run it over your clothes and it doesn’t matter whatever material it is it will remove the little pills that gather on your fabric. It’s very easy to use, it works very fast so it has a high speed and I’ve not seen any fabric damage on anything that I’ve used it on. If you are in need to clean up your clothes from the extra pills that seem to magically appear then this is the perfect fabric shaver for you. I was a little concerned at first because it felt like it was not the best quality, but it has surprised me with how well it works. It’s easy to pull the little gathering cup off and dump it out and slide it back on. I was very happy with it.

Sweaters pill. So do knit shirts. You can't get away from it, so you may as well embrace the fabric shaver, and give those unruly fashions a haircut. This one from Phillips works nicely. I didn’t want one with the double-handle type situation (one piece being the handle, one being the fuzz receptacle) because that seemed unwieldy and overly bulky- and hard to get into all the places one might need to get to. That said, I DO wish the receptacle cup on this one was a little bit bigger, but it’s better than the alternative, so I’m dealing. I have had no trouble getting in pockets or sleeves or other awkward spots (with the clothing lying flat on a table). So far I’ve used it on a cashmere sweater and a viscose/elastane blend knit shirt, and it has de-pilled both beautifully, with zero snags or pulls. I love it because this will keep my beloved clothing in my wardrobe longer, and will help with second hand and vintage items that I might have passed up before due to pilling. The shaver itself has a nice big trimming face, and the blades are sharp- it trims very well. In looking at it, the face screws onto the body where it covers the blades, so perhaps you can adjust how close the blades are to the fabric. I’m sure they cover that in the manual, which of course I did not read. (but I did keep!) There is a little clear plastic cover to partially protect the head of the shaver, but of course my darling dog chewed that up within minutes of me unboxing it, so… All in all a great product so far. I’ll update if there are any dramas.

When my brother ordered this product, I really thought he was wasting money on something that wouldn't be of much use, but how wrong I was. This lint remover gave a new life to my old woolens. I had previously tried removing lint from my woolens using combs and razor (got these ideas from insta) but all failed and these clothes had been locked in an old box, but this product changed it all. It is easy to use, removes all the lints and gives a new life to your woolen. A must buy.

This fabric shaver is really useful and easy to use. It removes bobbles and fabric pills well, helping clothes look fresher and giving them a new life instead of replacing them. The large blade surface makes the job quick, and it is handy that it comes with batteries. Very happy with it!
