My husband and I spent a lot of time researching several blender/juicers and decided to go with this one for several reasons: *Easy to clean - we did NOT want to spend time taking pieces apart to clean them; this machine cleans up very quick and easy!! *Made in the USA with a 7 year warranty - quality, reliability and pride; need we say more? *Powerful! 3 horsepower motor - 1,560 watts; there are several videos on YouTube that show you how amazing this machine is. *6 pre-programmed cycles for juicing, smoothies, ice cream, etc. Machine automatically knows when to speed up, slow down and shut off automatically based on your setting. You don't have to stand by the machine and babysit it! *Jar is BPA free.

I'm not even sure I would put this in the same category as the other appliances I've called a "blender" in the past. It's just fantastic. There's not a lot I could say that wouldn't be a repeat of what other people have said about the performance of the blender itself. Powerful, easy to clean, all of that. I did order a refurbished model. I was a little leery of doing that, spending so much on a refurb. Before I purchased it said it came with the warranty, but I was hesitant. Anyway, I bought it and was immediately impressed. It came in a box labeled by Blendtec that said "factory refurbished" or something to that effect on the side. When I opened the box, there was a new recipe book on top. The blender jar looked completely new and there was an insert in it that had a couple more recipes, the kind of insert that you would see if the thing was on display in a store. I can't tell the thing from new, to be honest, except that it was about $100 cheaper. The "blend counter" or whatever, the thing that tells you how many times you've used your blender, had been reset back to 0, there were no scratches, dents, anything at all. If you have a chance to get a refub I'd recommend it to save the extra money!

My old Kitchenaid died, and the updated model is a huge, heavy monster that is too bif to fit in my appliance garage. This Blendtec had awesome reviews on every platform I checked. It is also the most powerful blender for its low-profile size, so I was able to justify the expense. Cleaning is also a breeze! Love it! Makes awesome protein shakes - like a Wendy's frosty, and I can't wait to try the soup making setting - the friction creates the heat.

You can’t go wrong with this brand. Love the bigger size jar. Great product!

Please read this review before you consider purchasing this Blendtec unit; I must say that I am truly sorry I didn't invest in a Vitamix unit instead. I seldom write reviews, but I truly believe that this is necessary to get this out there for those of you considering investing your hard earned money into this machine. I purchased this Blendtec through Amazon (not a third party vendor) back in November of 2014 as an investment, this is less than a year ago. Anyhow, problems with the unit began to arise almost immediately after the first use. I noticed that my unit began to produce a burning smell, which I later saw it was actually producing smoke between the pitcher and base unit. Upon further inspection I noticed that the plastic gasket that holds the stainless steel spindle had been fused into the plastic pitcher (this is what causes the shards/shavings of black plastic to flake off). The first time I had a problem with my Wildside jar (comes standard with the unit) with this issue, I contacted Blendec customer service, they were very pleasant and were happy to send me out a free replacement jar (they also mentioned that I have an 8 year warranty), but they mentioned nothing of a known issue with their current containers/jars. The way I see it the current construction of this Blendtec unit is defective as the immense heat (apparently you can make hot soup in this thing) melts the plastic gasket into the plastic pitcher/container, not only causing friction and further problems as far as the spindle movement (it should be free spinning according to Blendtec Reps). Today the same thing issue occurred with he Twister Jar as I was making a protein shake (just milk and powder). When I called Blendec today I spoke with a less than enthusiastic and seemingly apathetic representative (but in her defense, maybe she was having a bad day or just had a really bad previous call) that advised me that there is known issues with their jars both current Wildside and Twister jars. After I explained to her what I thought the issue was (plastic gasket melting into plastic container/jar, she concurred with my analysis, she also advised me that Blendtec is aware of the issue and is taking the proper action to rectify the issue, but she wouldn't give much information aside from that (no release dates for the new container nor any mention of sending everyone that purchased a defective container with a complimentary free upgraded container/jar(s)). Anyhow, I am extremely disappointed with this Blendtec experience.

Pattern is an amazing company. There was some problems with the state that my order arrived in and they were very helpful and attentive in a professional manner to ensure that everything was taken care of. Will look forward to doing business with the company again. ---Product review--- It works. I'm a foodie, I love to cook and for decades have 'made do' with subpar blenders buying new ones every few years as they break. I finally saved up and I do not regret my purchase. So far I've done mixed drinks, soups, and even ice cream in this blender. Recipes can be found online for all sorts of things and it's preset modes are great. 4 ounces lime juice, 1.5 ounce simple syrup, 2 ounces vodka, 1-2 cups ice cubes : hit the martini glass and it makes a perfect vodka gimlet blended. The ice is almost as smooth as cream. 1 large potato (cooked) cut into 4ths, 6 inches of leek (remove outter layer, white and light green only), 1 cup vegie broth, 1/4 cup whole milk or heavy cream, dash of thyme, sage, parsley. Hit the soup option and enjoy. I love cooking, and making things from scratch, this is a wonderful addition to my kitchen. Well worth the counter space.

Outstanding blender .. expensive.. but worth the money! Super powerful!

I owned this unit for approximately 8 month and the motor stopped working after about 150 uses. I spoke with Blendtec customer service and they offered me the option of receiving a refurbished base within days or waiting for my original base to be fixed which would take 3-5 weeks. Because I use my Blendtec everyday to make smoothies, I chose the refurbished unit. I wasn't happy that such an expensive blender quit working in a matter of months, but I was very pleased with the customer service. I haven't had any issues with the refurbished motor but I just had a blow out of the Wildside jar., I was making a smoothie that consisted of greens, liquid and about 1/2 cup frozen mango chucks that are approximately 1 inch cubes. The Wildside jar cracked while the unit was operating and green drink went every where! Not fun, not safe and I'm glad I was close to the unit and could shut it off immediately before it completely blew apart. I'm also glad I wasn't hurt and that my kids weren't using it when it happened. This is an expensive blender at $400+ and I don't expect to have to be concerned about safety when the product is being used exactly as it was designed to be used. Before I purchased the unit I saw another review that said they had a blow out of the Wildside Jar and I thought it was a fluke. Well I've now experienced multiple problems with this very expensive product. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars instead of 1 is because customer service was helpful with the original breakdown of the motor.

This here is the second one of these I have purchased in 13yrs. And it is a very amazing kitchen tool for making so many things way better than a magic bullet grinds seeds and nuts very fine makes nut butter and flour. You can not go wrong with the product.

Der Mixer wurde erst nach ca. 2 Wochen geliefert. Die Verpackung war nicht professionell und auch ein Umkarton mit dem Produktbild fehlte. Es waren einfach nur zwei einfarbige braume Kartons und ich würde davon ausgehen, es war eine Retour. Damit nucht genug. In der Beschreibung stand etwas von "Glasbehälter". Allerdings war es ein Kunststoffbehälter. Was allerdings gar nicht geht: Es ist tatsächlich ein Mixer ohne kompatiblen Stecker für Europa! Ich habe ihn gleich zurückgeschickt!

I bought this blender a year ago and it has had constant issues despite following the owner's manual exactly. Recently it had a 'no-zero crossing' error. It took blendtec customer support weeks to help me, and they failed to follow through on a warranty replacement commitment. I am not sure I could ever recommend this brand.
