M-jump 2 Pack 5 Inch 8 Holes Sponge Cushion Buffer Orbital Sander Foam Pad Backing Pad - Hook and Loop Soft Interface Pads for Automobile Metal Polishing

This type of pad was recommended to use as a cushion between the RO sander and sandpaper for wet sanding epoxy resin countertops. It worked well, although in fairness, I did not try wet sanding the epoxy without using it. It also worked super well, in conjunction with sand paper, for hand sanding the delicate edges and from now on, I will always use this pad for hand sanding the edges of all of my woodworking projects. When I was done with the epoxy project, the pad was caked in sanding slurry. I rinsed it off, then washed it with warm water and dish soap. The layers did not delaminate, and it looks just like new. I'm sure it will be a long time before I need to make use of the second pad.

I needed a soft pad to sand a curved apron on a table. It worked really well. I had no problems with separating. On wood I go pretty slow and let the OR do the work. Worked very well for me

Not highest quality. Fall apart after heavy use but cheap price makes them worth it. Worked as intended.

Velco/ (hook and loop tape) has held up. Needed to sand down a fiberglass fender to repair a hole. The soft pad allowed to form to the different angles around the fuel door. Velcro held up when removing each sanding disc and all the holes lined up.

Used this with some high grit discs to do wet finish sanding on gelcoat with my DA polisher. Did an excellent job conforming to the curves of the hull and made quick work of the repair

I liked the variety of disk grits and quantity of each, but about half slipped off the sander before they were worn out. Even after cleaning the back of the disk and the sander's interface there was problems.
