I could not find a replacement for the brake pads on my ebike So I ended up replacing the entire thing

Good for the price! The change pad location tighteners stripped instantly, but they aren’t needed. You don’t need cable housing as it comes with it. They are crap but being able to brake for ~20 bucks is all you can ask. Make sure you know what you are doing when installing.

I used this system to replace a hydraulic brake system. Installation was pretty straightforward. I couldntuse the new rotors since I was unable remove the originals. Adjusting the cables for good pull took a few tries, but I got them working well. The set does include brake pads. It was not clear in the description so I had bought another set, which I was able to return.

I used this kit on my old Diamondback Sorrento to swap the front V Brake for the disc brake in this kit. I went with this one because replacement pads are more readily available. I did not use the rear brake kit because 26 inch rear wheels that are compatible are not common. I was able to source a front wheel from the LBS and this kit fit fine. First impression was not great but I knew that the pads needed to be bedded for it to work properly. Brake worked better the next day. Great price and good deal.

The brake came a little scuffed up, which is disappointing for a new purchase. Although I didn't have problems with installation this is not an IKEA install. The instruction is a bit lacking, and requires some tools to install properly. For someone less familiar with bike maintenance, thus may be a challenging job. The brake performs decent, not great. The braking feels a little squishy, with stopping power comparable to rim brake. It's an inexpensive replacement option if your disc brake went bad, but don't expect good braking power for wet conditions or more advanced trail riding.

Got these for an urban cruiser bike build. Was pleasantly surprised how good the braking is. Easily as nice as SRAM/Shimano mechanical brakes. Pad wear adjusters are nice and tight. The rotors look very similar to Shimano SM-RT66 six bolt rotors that are ground flat and smooth. Overall I'd say these are as good as it gets for mechanical brakes. I use hydraulic Shimano brakes on all my family's bikes as they ARE the benchmark for MTB brakes.

Perfect fit, both front and rear. Better stopping power than the replaced hydraulic brakes. Would buy again if needed.

Don’t waste your time and money on this product!! They won’t even stop you on flat ground and sound like a dying cat that you can hear from many blocks away (see video). The brakes also get jammed which keeps them engaged for the remainder of your ride (feels like going up a 15% incline but on flat ground). You also have to squeeze ridiculously hard which after an hour ride is very difficult. If you value your time it’s best not to spend the 2 hours installing, removing, driving to the nearest bridge, and throwing them off (and paying $35). In conclusion they are complete garbage and it’s a bummer you can’t rely on the overall amazon review. On the bright side you will never need a bicycle bell to warn people you are coming as they will already be looking for the distressed cat.

Great replacement for hydraulic brakes. No hassle to fit & pleasantly surprised by the quality. Everything you need comes in the box including bolts & brackets. Only minor niggle is that the front cable could have been a little longer while the rear cable was too long!! Easy to cut down the rear, not so easy to add a bit to the front!! All in all very good value for money 🙂
