I was looking forward to adding one of these to my collection for a while and, let me say, this did not disappoint! While this may not be a daily EDC carry for me, it’s as much because I don’t need all the tools than its size and weight.The main knife blade locks, but the lock needs to be released from the opposite side from what I was used to. Despite this the blade moved firmly into a more perpendicular position with snapping all the way closed, so my fingers weren’t in danger of being sliced. Because of local city laws regarding knives with locking blades, this will stay in the trunk when driving downtown. I live in rural California, and the laws are much more permissive here, so I can wander around town with an 8” fixed blade on my hip, so this is safe to carry.The main reason I wanted this was for the combination of the larger 111mm wood saw and metal file and saw. These blades are larger than on my 91mm Swiss Army Knives, and the increased length and surface area make them more functional. The larger handle on this knife makes the blades feel more controllable.This knife also has two in-line Philips drivers: I believe one is a 0 and the other a 2. These are able to be opened once either the scissors or (mini)pliers are opened, as the screwdrivers lay under the other tools. Because this knife is larger than others with an in-line screwdriver, I am not sure how well they work, but the smaller one has a pretty long shaft to help it reach tight screws.This knife has some heft to it, but I consider it similar to my Swiss Champ for weight. This has a bit more utility, with less extra blades and tools. Some of the Swiss Champ tools feel like they got shoehorned in too heavily, such that they aren’t really usable. This doesn’t seem to have that issue. The design is tapered so the blades come from the narrower end, but I don’t think this affects performance or safe gripping.

Not to mention it comes with a lifetime warranty from a company that's been around for more than 100 years, is known for having the best warranty available, and great customer service.This knife/tools are much larger, and stronger because they have a thicker width when compared with the popular 91mm Victorinox swiss army knives models. A safety locking feature is also included for the large knife, and for the combination tool, automatically locking those tools whenever they are opened, this was created to eliminates the risk of accidently getting hurt if the knife were to unexpectedly close while it's being used. The rest of tools that are included are: wood saw, metal saw, metal file with nail cleaner, scissors, pliers with wire cutters and crimpers, can opener with flat head screw driver, smaller and larger philips heads screw drivers, reamer, corkscrew with small flat head screwdriver, toothpick, tweezers, and a keyring. Lastly, since a sheath/case isn't included with this product, I suggest buying one (preferably from Victorinox, one that's made specifically for this product)Overall this is a very great product that I would highly recommend, it would make a perfect addition to any Victorinox collection, would be an amazing gift for anyone who's interested in multi tools, camping, wilderness survival gear, fishing, outdoor activities, or possibly even a perfect gift for yourself. Trust me, you don't regret it.

I just started half-heartedly collecting Swiss Army knives. And in that short time,this has been the one I reach for, for most tasks.I keep it in a belt pouch, so it's always at the ready. I consider it a small 'big' knife. I really like the very aggressive file that comes with it, and I have already had use for the 0/1 Phillips screwdriver. As far as the knife blade goes, I don't know if I'll ever find out if it's very useful. Because when I need a knife, I have a couple of flipper knives on belt clips, that are a lot handier to use than a Swiss Army knife.Another one I get a lot of use out of is the 580 manicure knife. That sits on a shelf right next to my recliner.Anyway, I am pleased with my Work Champ, and would buy it again.

The Work Champ is amazing! It is a lot bigger than my trusty Fieldmaster—the long blade locks. The tools are all excellent. I've used the small, sturdy, and precise pliers several times. The saw and file are strong, and the way they flip out, you can get into tight spots. The pry bar feels very sturdy and locks into place. The can opener can also open boxes with the sharp edge. Every time I use my Swiss Army knife, I'm happy, because I don't have to run down a screwdriver or scissors. The utility pays for itself time and again. I bought a small clip and carry it in my pocket. "Don't leave home without it" is my motto.

I am a female and own over 50 Victorinox multitools, 15 Leatherman and Chinese made clones, and over 750 fixed and folding knives) including the Victorinox Outrider (which is similar to the Work Champ but has less tools), the Fieldmaster, the Huntsman, the Ranger, the Explorer, the Deluxe Tinker, the Farmer X and so on but selected this multitool as my car knife (replacing my Saphire Hunstman) because I wanted a small pliers and more phillip screw drivers included in my multitool. This Workchamp is the same length as a the Outrider but heavier because it has more tools. I also bought a Leatherman large sized nylon pouch to store this multitool in and it just fits. This will be my car only tool because its too heavy to carry in my pocket (and like most women, don't wear a belt) unlike the Outrider. All in all, if I had one tool to carry on me, it would be the Outrider (over the Huntsman, Fieldmaster, the Ranger, or Explorer) but in a car tool, the Work Champ is a great item to have (and would also be handy in a vacation cabin, tool box, or for big men who don't mind the weight of this multitool). And yes I own 5 different Leatherman multitools and never carry them with me because of their size and weight except the Leatherman Micra. In my small bag, I carry the Victorinox Companion because I love the nail file, the new package opening tool and the pen). I bought this multitool in the early Autumn of 2025 and it was $90, which I consider it a great price. Since I bought this took, its gone up by $40 and I would not buy this tool at the higher price.

This is probably the most useful swiss army knife in my opinion. This knife will do everything you need it to do and more. Swiss Army has been making knives for many years. The quality is top tier. I probably own 12 Swiss army knives. This is my favorite by far. Put a set of ranger beads on it for a lanyard and you got an incredibly multifunctional knife.

I own a few small and midsize Victorinox pocket knives and I love them all. But I wanted to go bigger and find one that also functions as a multitool. After doing my research I felt confident that this was the right one, and I was right. Great economics, strong tools, and even pocketable in spite of its large size. I even like fidgeting with some of the tools. Definitely my new favorite Victorinox

I bought this to see if it would be more usable than my Leatherman Wave+, and I think it will. The Leatherman style is clumsy to use and a bit uncomfortable to grip; their primary advantage is better pliers and wire cutters, but if I need better there I'm in the shop where ther are dedicated tools. The cutting blade has a better edge, but it is dangerously pointed. The SAK Workchamp has much better tool access, and the tools are either better than the Leatherman or good enough for me. The Workchamp is bulkier, I wouldn't consider it an EDC whereas the Leatherman could be. The awl is dumb, First it is impossible to open with my thumbnail (I do have thin fingernails) but then of what use is it anyway? I mean, very few of us are wearing animal skins these days, well, as far as I know. I think Victorinox should have kept an outside slider to release the main blade, it's safer. Are you reading these Victorinox? I wonder. We're all seeking affirmation out here, you know. But I digress.A day later I returned it. All of the above comments still hold, but I found it to be unattractive and a dated design. And that reluctant awl was going to annoy me anyway.

Large functional EDC high quality multitool that is attached to my work utility belt. It is handy. Great in line Philip's for quick fixes, large flat head pliers I use for prying, large sharp locking blade, good pliers and scissors, file.. etc. Great supplier with fast delivery from Germany. I recommend.

Paired with a compact for everyday carry and this for the brutal jobs. I’m sorted! Strong as an ox and built like a tank, it’s a Goliath in its field.
