Nice. Wanted longer range but 5 mi is cool for my son around the corner from his school. Went on Tiktok to gather information on how to use it. Great information.

These were a cheaper alternative to the Baofeng radios. They appear to be well built and have not skiped a beat since I purchasd them. Real world range with terrain and heavy trees appears to be about 2 miles. The sound is clear and the unit is easy to use. The battery lasts a long time and the charging cradle works flawlessly. A great entry into Ham Radio or if you need a set of adios that is the next step up from GMRS / FRS. Recommended.

I bought these to complete having one for each family member. In a non-scientific way, I tested the normal antenna out to 2.5 miles (flat ground with a few houses in between) and the extended antenna out to 4 miles before loosing the ability hear the other person. Morse code obviously would work a bit further. The supplied wire connector works well with the chirp software to give preset frequencies. Some cons- the two normal antennas are different sizes making me question QA testing, distance with normal antenna is basically the same as my well trusted baofeng branded radios (even though their antenna is more compact and looks to be more rugged), and the chargers should really come with a usb wire to work everywhere. All in all a good value but don’t see the worth over My trusted baofengs except for the longer antenna. I was hoping for better range with the higher outputs!Haven’t tried the earpieces or external mics yet.

Great radios for the price. They are not Kenwood but neither is the price. Once I got out the microscope to read the instruction book, I moved on to downloading the Chirp software into my computer to program them only to find that using it isn't for the faint of heart, the impatient or first time user. Once I got it figured out, programming these radios can be done in your sleep! User information on the Chirp website is woefully lacking but if one plays with it long enough, one can get the hang of it. Be aware that through Chirp, you can "expand" the frequency range of these radios from 1Mhz to 1000mhz but they will only actually operate between 131.000Mhz and 545.955 MHz. The frequency indicator on the face will read beyond these limits but outside the afforementoned operating limits, the transmitter / receiver are outside of their operating ranges. I like these radios because I also wanted to use them as a low band scanner as well as communicators. You can't find 2 handheld scanners with the plethora of extras that these came with for under $85.00. I haven't had a chance to try the range on them yet but if I'm not back here in 2 weeks complaining about them, you'll know they're good.

The walkie talkies were great came as expected very fast shipping everything in the box and they work great the quality is great the sound is great very easy programming setup touch and Go battery life is very good came fully charged still haven't charged either one great for the price

Great radio, easy to set up. The two hand MICs didn't work but I reached out to the company and they were very responsive and quick to resolve the issue by replacing the bad ones with good ones.
