Mechanix Wear SMP-91-008 : Hi-Viz M-Pact Work Gloves

I purchased this pair of gloves for the purpose of mountain biking in which I feel they are perfect! I don't know how well they would hold up to heavy wear and tear due to the soft mesh/suede material and stitching however for my needs, these fit the bill. I'm replacing my older gloves which are extremely thin and hardly provide any protection to speak of for the tips of your fingers (i.e. Ripping your thumb- nail back during a fall doesn't feel so good) I just received them so... I am hoping these will make me proud! PROS: -Snug fit around fingertips allows functionality when you need it -Armotex reinforcement panel seems to offer decent grip (black, synthetic, abrasive leather patch above palm) -Mesh webbing along sides of fingers and back of hand look to promote efficient air flow -Thermal Plastic Rubber along the fingers and double layering at the tips (I feel, will) offer sufficient protection from falls -Padding on the palm is thick enough to protect from impacts but breathable enough to keep your hands from overheating -Wrist straps (Velcro) cover your entire wrist offering excellent protection, a snug fit and the strap latches on the underside of your wrist so the strap is less likely to be pulled loose -Glove size standards are roughly: SEE IMAGE BELOW THIS is what I based MY order off of in terms of what size to get. I ordered a medium. My measurements are 8.5" palm (circumference) and 3.25"-3.50" diameter (at the pads of your palm) P.s. Yes the measurement of the gloves width (when flattened) is 5" as the dimensions state. The fit is snug and there is little play at the fingertips with an open hand. My fingers aren't pressing tightly against the ends in this position however when I make a fist, my fingers snug up to the tips and the grip then feels tight but not to the point of it being uncomfortable. They make me feel that I have complete control and functionality with my hands. CONS: -We shall see... I hope this review helped inform you to make the decision as to whether this pair of gloves is the right pair for you! UPDATE September 16th, 2018 I used these a lot when I first purchased them, not so much lately... For what they have been through, they have held up above and beyond my expectations. Wear and tear is what you would expect from a glove. Everything wears out eventually however, I would still recommend them to this day!

I ride my bicycle on many sidewalks where homeowners do not trim their shrubs away from the sidewalk properly. Saves my fingers & knuckles from shrub "rash". Also adds to biker visibility especially when signaling turns. They offer some padding but are not necessarily designed for bike riders. I found out from an orthopedic guy that also rides, that it's the position of your wrist that is important to minimize numbness in your hands. If you experience numb hands & padded gloves aren't helping, investigate Ergon GP1 or similar handlebar grips.

I bought these because the open-cuff style gloves we have at work tend to get caught up when I'm working up trains in the train yard. I wanted a pair of gloves that hugged my wrists so they wouldn't catch on air hose support connections. These certainly did the trick. Not only that, they do well when banging my hands against couplers, running/crossover boards, and uncoupling levers. There is no play in the tips so they don't get hung up on the hand brake wheels, which the ones work provides do, adding another plus to these gloves. The knuckle cuts on the top of the gloves allows for a decent amount of flexibility and doesn't make you feel like making a fist requires a huge amount of strength to do so, useful when when grabbing air hoses to make the joints. The only bad thing with them (if you can call it that) is I wish the cuff would be higher up my wrist. I got the medium size, and to me it feels small (I have long fingers but small hands). I think next payday I'll try buying a size large to see if that helps at all. Over all, a great pair of gloves that does what I want them to do. [UPDATE] After having these gloves for a couple of weeks and using them exclusively, it hasn't taken long for the index finger stitching to break. They already have holes in them. These are not for the kind of work I perform.

Fit great, they help protect my hands which are very sensitive to impact.

These are so legit. Like my other Mechanix gloves they fit perfectly and I love the Hi-Viz. They are comfortable, look good, and seem to be thick enough to be as sturdy as other Mechanix models I've used. Two thumbs up.

Mixed review, but overall positive. I bought a pair of these, since I love my other pair of Mechanix gloves. Not even a month into wearing them occasionally at work, the right middle finger started developing a hole. I sent a message to Mechanix Wear, and they were on the ball. Got a replacement right away. That's freaking OUTSTANDING customer service. Bottom line, I love the gloves. I was disappointed about the hole in such short time. But they blew me away with their response to my issue. I'll be wearing Mechanix gloves exclusively now.

Gloves work and fit amazingly, ordered 2xl and they actually fit. Made very well and are worth the money. The only downfall is that they don’t protect your hands from any kind of water or winter climates. So if your someone who works outside a lot in different weather conditions maybe give it a thought before buying. I work long haul flatbed, and they protect my hands in every way shape and form but just don’t go dipping your hands in a bucket of water cause they’ll come out soaked and if there’s piercing winds they don’t protect your hands.

Pas très souple aux premières utilisations.... Mais comme toute paire de gants ...elles se sont à votre main et après... Ça le fait 👍👍👍👍👍👍
