So yeah, customer service is second to none. #3 I have consumed 6 KE4 bottles to date (with many more to go) in support of both standard of care, and non-standard of care medical protocols (for mRNA signalling benefits and normal cell protective) reasons (NOT diet weight-loss and NOT physical athletic performance). KE4 has always delivered measurable results as advertised and expected (I measure Ketones/Glucose with a KetoMojo meter). I am normally Ketogenic, and KE4 is there for me when my Ketone levels fall off due to various reasons. My limited research and understanding on KE4: KE4 Converts directly into usable chemical energy also supporting various cell signalling (as per a growing volumes of animal and Human N=1 research -- which shows Ketones protect cells, supports OxPhos energy metabolism, and enables medical protocols designed to suppress normal cell glycolytic pathway functions leading to pyruvate/lactate production). KE4 (BHB) also supports improved cognition as-well-as motor function (why most people take it). Taste: It tastes like a chemical fuel. I personally don't have an issue with the taste, but I can understand why babies, girls, and girly men would. Its really not that bad -- but I'm not using it casually as a diet aid either. If you consume KE4 subliminally (hold it in your mouth and under the tongue for an extended time, before swallowing) it should get absorbed faster into the blood for immediate use. Price: While it appears the price is high, it is very reasonable for what it actually is (non-racemic ester) and for what it does (converts directly into AcetylCOA). First, its 100% bio-available -- 100% -- (not 50% or less-- like many/most BHB-Salt based products). Second, BHB ester has been the chemical gold standard for some time -- used in research labs only -- it was unavailable commercially -- and it was price prohibitive: priced in the thousands of dollars just over a year or so ago. KE4 is the real deal, now available commercially for NOT thousands of dollars. Most folks just don't get this. How does KE4 provide 100% bio-available instant ketones? My understanding (and I am not a chemist): I believe this to be an enantiomerically pure ketone ester (non-racemic). (just google it) Racemic BHB products have a left and right side molecule -- thus providing 50% or less available BHB for direct utilization. In other words, KE4 BHB Ester is fully bio-available, so you are receiving full value for the price. You can meter the amount you need for whatever your purpose is. KetoneAid even gives you a little measuring tube with the three container pack. With other racemic BHB-Salt products (right and left hand molecules) only one half (or less) of the ketones are bioavailable. How does KE4 BHB Esters work? This is very important for my personal medical (non-diet/non-athletic performance) application: I believe KE4 is a organic BHB (beta-hydroxy-buterate) ester and it is NOT related to a salt. In the body the liver (primarily) creates ketone bodies as needed (fasted state): Acetoacetic Acid, BHB, and acetone. The energy in our body at the cellular level is ATP. ATP (adenosine triphosphate) powers all mechanical and nerve functions in the body. ATP production (creation) by key organelles (called Mitochondria), found in most cells requires a fundamental chemical building block (Acetyl-CoA) to be available in order for the oxygen phosphorylation chemical process to occur, thus efficiently generating ATP. The free availability of AcetylCOA is also an important signalling state, which is key for my condition, but I will not explain that mechanism in detail here. BHB freely converts to AcetylCOA with Acetoacetate, supporting the mitochondrial production of ATP via the citric acid cycle (Krebs Cycle). KE4 is an ester, so its presents within the body converts directly to usable energy in various tissues. Because BHB esters also pass the blood-brain barrier they will be utilized for energy by the brain (the largest consumer of energy in the body). The down sides of KE4: Because KE4 is not a salt (calcium, potassium, magnesium) it doesn't supplement these electrolytes if your in a fasted state. Having said that, of the 60ml in each small container, 30ml is BHB and 30ml contains beneficial supplementation like Taurine (calcium modulator and anti-oxidant) for cardio support, etc.

Here is my experience with this product: Fact 1: the body's ability to process fats effeciently depends on genetic makeup. Fact 2: using this product incorrectly may render it useless or ineffecient. I took this 2 different ways & times with the same 5ml dose. There are consice instruction on the bottle. To give context, I eat ketogenically cyclically and bought this product in order to enter ketosis more quickly when I cycle back to it. In both these instances, I had been eating ketogenically with IMF 18/6 for several days and was in low ketosis. The first time I did not follow the instructions (too eager to try it to wait) and took it a half hour after eating a large meal. Nothing happened although my ketones did rise a significant amount. But as far an the feeling/energy.. nada. The second time, I took the same dose at the end of an 18 hours fast, on an empty stomach. The result was mind-blowing. Within 5-10 mins I had so much energy it was nearly overwhelming. Without eating, I immediately went to the gym (which I have not been to in several weeks), and my workout felt not only effortless but very GOOD. My state of mind was incredibly different and has remained that way throughout the day. I feel more clear-headed, like my brain has more energy than usual and given the nature of ketones, it probably does. I am an apprentice for scientific injection molding and today some math/ logistical problems I would usually have a hard time thinking through, were much easier to solve. I did eventually have a nice meal but I needed fewer calories than normal, my ketone meter was the highest I've ever seen it. I am hungry now near dinner time but have no appetite. My state of mind continues to impress me throughout the day and I am viewing this as a powerful tool for weight loss, learning, fitness and even just when you'd prefer to be in another mind-state. This is nearly a drug, having a euphoric effect along with honed senses. I am very impressed and will order more. Another thing to note is that I thought this would be very expensive as most reviewers mention having to take several doses. I think there is a high probability they are not following the directions well or taking into consideration their current metabolic state before consuming. I needed only 5ml, meaning this bottle will yield 12 doses. (I weigh 210lb). That is affordable for something that offers so much. There is hardly a supplement that could come close to this, and it is a great tool if you choose to use ketosis in a cyclical manner. Also it does indeed taste revolting. Worth it.

Judging just by tasting/drinking this product, it is surprisingly fairly palatable. After a few days, I am even enjoying a tiny sip now. It seems to be having some of the claimed effects. They are not dramatic, but I have not gone beyond a 10 ml morning dose yet. I will therefore abstain from describing them for now. However, I cannot find any information on the material(s) of the product's bottle container. My guess is that it is made of aluminum. If so, I believe aluminum can often be coated with a thin plastic film, which sometimes contains BPA. I am not a container expert, and I would therefore highly appreciate the company's openness about the materials that might be leaching into my 'healthy drink.' I have tried to ask this question, but have not received an answer yet. If anyone knows, please comment. I would happily replace the above speculation with facts, if available.

Do not even bother with this. It doesn’t live up to its own or independent hype. I followed the one capful directions for six days, took it on an empty stomach. I fasted for two to three hours after taking it. I did not test for ketones first thing in the morning because of the Dawn Phenomenon. I tested two hours after taking it, and in the afternoon and evening. I was already in light ketosis (1.08 to 1.2) several days before I started Ke4, and have been largely for 10 years prior, because I spent 3 years on the keto diet, and 7+ years Carnivore. Started my 8th year Jan 1st. I wanted to see Ke4’s impact. Ke4 did little or nothing to increase my ketone levels. In fact, a couple of readings went below 1.x to .55 or .63. It did not create any sense of increased energy or mental clarity. The taste is absolutely awful. I chugged it down in a little water. At least it’s not sweetened or flavored. Too bad they don’t care, won’t read this, and I can’t get my money back. I had much better results with keto salts shots. At least they maintained my ketone count, and didn’t lower it. After simply stopping this product, my ketone levels went up to 2+. This product is a sham.

I ordered KetoneAid KE4 and received it in a reasonable timeframe. The bottles in my order were the newer plastic bottles, and they were sealed well with no leakages. I typically fast intermittently, anywhere from 16-18 hours a day (I have done longer fasts before) and try to stay low-carb whenever possible. I have tried strict Keto but that doesn’t always work out for me. I’ve also used bib salts and other ketone supplements (from cheaper to more expensive — both salt pills and flavored powder packets). I was 15 hours into my fast on the first day that I took KetoneAid. I’d already had 2 cups of dark roast coffee (black) and plenty of water with electrolytes. I had also watched several of the FAQ videos on the KetoneAid website and Youtube channel, so I had some sort of understanding about how these ketone esters functioned. Apparently, I missed the video about ketone esters and caffeine, because I started with 1 capful (5ml) and had a VERY caffeinated rest of the day. If you’re a heavy coffee/caffeine drinker, I would recommend dialing back on that while you figure out how the ketone esters will affect you. I started the next day with 5ml (1 capful) first thing in the morning, which helped to give me some subtle mental clarity. I did have a cup of coffee an hour later, but only partially out of habit. I took another capful a few hours later once I realized that my workday was going to get hectic. It really helped me stay focused throughout the day, even while multi-tasking and with multiple distractions. It helped to curb my appetite throughout the day, which is surprising since my stomach will sometimes still act up and demand food when I’m trying to fast while stressed out. I worked out about 6-7 hours after my second capful, and noticed a slight difference in that I didn’t feel as tired after my workout. I don’t know if it’s too soon to experience enhanced endurance from the additional ketones in my body, but just something I noticed. As for the taste? Well, some have described it as “jet fuel.” Having never tasted fuel of any kind before (and never will, lol), I will say that it was like taking a shot of very strong alcohol. Something between tequila and everclear liquor. I think it’s supposed to be flavored, but it didn’t really help when taking the esters as a straight shot (with no chaser). I might try it with a chaser (fizzy water, juice, etc.) but it’s honestly not that big of a dealbreaker for me. I expect that the 3 bottles that I purchased will last at least 18 days since I don’t plan on having 10 ml every day; I should be ok with 5ml on some days. I am keen to try it with longer fasts (48+ hours) but that is for another time. I will definitely be purchasing again. While the price might seem a bit high for 3 small bottles, the price I paid for KetoneAid KE4 is still less than what I was paying for flavored ketone salts/powder which I previously purchased from another company. Also, ketone salts are not the same as ketone esters. Esters are more potent by far. If you want to add ketone esters to your daily routine, whether it’s for keto support, fasting, mental clarity or sports performance, I would recommend purchasing a bottle (or 3) of KetoneAid KE4 and experiencing its benefits for yourself. Don’t expect to drop weight just because you’re downing shots of KE4, though. You will still have to eat healthy meals, get some exercise and take care of your body. I haven’t tried any other products from this company, but I certainly will be doing so in the very near future.

I bought these in a desperate attempt to speed up my weight loss that has been inching along for 3 years. I know all about ketones and decided if I was going to try it I wanted the kind my body was best able to use. If you use pee test strips to measure ketones you are measuring the extra your body expelled because it couldn't use it and not necessarily what you are using. I do blood ketone testing and it's a little more accurate but also depends on everyone's individual body. Back on track, these taste awful but they're honest about it and some of the tips I read helped a ton. I did not dilute my serving because I'd rather take it fast. I always had a shot glass of warm/hot water with lemon juice squeezed in and that helped a ton with the awful after taste. I used this product while on a high protein calorie restricted diet (I don't digest fat well so avoid it) and my ketones were up higher than they had been previously but the diet could be a contributing factor. I had been tracking ketones in the past when in the same diet. I give credit to both for the ketone level but I was wanted weight loss. I did lose weight but I credit most of that to my anal calorie counting diet, I've done the same diet in the past with similar results without ketones. My only complaint is both shipments came with leaking bottles. The first one barely leaked (I weighed each bottle to check) so it was concerning but no big deal. The 2nd shipment one bottle still had the plastic seal on but was half empty from leaking. These are about $30 per bottle so half gone is $15 of no product. I read tons of reviews about how amazing the owner is so I took some pictures and sent him an email asking for a replacement bottle and figured I'd settle for a partial refund if he asked. That was a month ago and I've never received even a reply. Given that 2 of 2 shipments were leaking and that there was no response from the seller on my issues I don't think I'll risk continuing to buy these. I wanted to give it enough time to consider how much it helps but I won't be doing that after all.

I didn't quite know what to expect. But after reading through dozens of scientific papers on ketone ester, exogenous ketone ingestion, and even more on sport performance and possible uses for cognitive enhancement, I started to understand fully what is happening at the cellular level inside the mitochondria. The benefit of KetonAid KE4 exogenous ketone ester ingestion is you don't have to be or need to be a 'keto' person, or already on that bandwagon. This produce is more for those who have not been able to go full on nutritional ketosis through real life stuff. The D-beta-hydroxybutyrate helps the body have elevated blood ketone levels, and if/when exercising especially long endurance exercise, can help jump start the body's internal ketone production in the liver. What I found as the best benefit of KE4 was distinctly having no desire to cram food into my mouth after a long day of exercising. I simply was not as hungry as normal. Yes, I still needed food for fuel as I am walking or running 20 miles a day average, but there wasn't big bingeing/feeding sessions after long workouts or long runs. On a couple of occasions, after 18, 25, or even 40 miles (all day) of running and snacking throughout the day, I simply didn't need to eat in the evening/night when I was done. On days when I was not working out or running, but in the workplace/office, I would take 5ml in the morning, and sip on another 5 or 10ml throughout the morning in a water bottle, and not need to eat till afternoon, and was not even hungry. When I did eat my lunch, I didn't need that much. It was like this stuff is turning off all hunger, because I was burning ketones. My focus wasn't trying to lose weight, but I did need to, my focus was training, and doing 20 miles a day. But through it all, I lost at least 15 pounds in 5-6 weeks, and 27 pounds in 10 weeks. But it was primary the exercise that caused the weight loss, it was just easier with KE4, because I could go till noon without eating, and stop eating in the evening if I'd had some of this during the day. KE4 is not touted as a weight loss supplement, but if you're having a hard time 'going keto' or jump starting the weight loss if needed, this can help. If you think this is expensive, sure it is. But for the same price one would spend on a gym membership and food, you save by 1) not eating as much food, and 2) losing weight without going to the gym, just having a healthy holistic lifestyle, walking a lot, and exercising where possible. I could make 1 bottle last a week, I didn't necessarily take it everyday, but when I was doing high mileage days, or when needed to get through the morning with no food. Hope this can help someone.
