Great for wood preservation!
I have been using Watco Danish oil for years! It absorbs well in to the wood and preserves your outdoor wood nicely. Easy to apply using rag, sponge, or brush. Directions for drying time are accurate, depending on humidity, wind, etc. I use this outside and don’t notice an odor. It goes a long way. I usually use two coats. I want it to soak well into my wood for preservation. Good value for what it is and how far it goes. I love the black walnut color. It is a great, rich color for your wood posts and accent wood pieces. I have used it for my patio posts, pergola, benches, pine floors, and grill shelves. Years ago I could purchase it in gallon metal containers, but now, I can only find this in pints. Bummer!

I love the color and matte finish
I used this on the butcher block counters in my bus build. It looks so good I get lots of compliments. I have even started using it for other wood working projects. I love the rich color. I do twice a year re oil the counters but that's also because it's taking extra abuse in a vehicle during summer. It's so easy to apply and dries quickly. The smell lingered a couple of days, but it was also used in a very small space during summer so it took a bit longer to dry than when I apply as maintenence during cooler months. I've bought this 3 times now because I really love the look. I'm redoing a bookshelf now and it's exactly how I pictured it.

Worked great for me.
I used this on an unfinished guitar, the wood was very dry and porous. This made it beautiful, brought out the natural design of the wood, and made a beautiful finish. I put too much on and didn't give it time to dry, and had to strip it off and start over. Just takes a little or you will regret it. I did. It was a first very awful, wanted to throw away my guitar. ! yuck. Then I came to my senses, stripped it of and started new like a normal person and used just a little with a cloth, (don 't use paint brush), was just fine then.

Excellent finish -- not quite perfect color match with an earlier application of the same product/color
When I got my old Arts & Crafts home restored, a local guy made the mudroom exterior door, and used this product to finish it. It's always been a beautiful door, and when my dog scratched it up I wanted to restore its appearance to original. After sanding out the scratches, I applied the product as directed, and it did a pretty good job of matching the original finish, but the scratched/sanded areas are a bit lighter than the original finish. Maybe some more coats in coming years will help even it out. Meanwhile, my door has that distressed look that is so popular these days ;-) The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is that the color match with the original finish is not exact. Maybe there's some variation between cans, or maybe it will even out in the end... just right now it's not a perfect match. For a new finish, it is an excellent product.

Goes on smooth, needs multiple coats
This oil applies so nicely! You can use it for so many different projects! It is also durable, and holds up well to scratching. It does require multiple coats, however, so be prepared to do at least 2-4 coats with this stuff. I think I put 2-4 coats on in one day without trouble, so it doesn't take that long for it to dry, but you will need to cure it for a few days. It does not smell horrible like minwax does. Minwax is like noxious fumes.

Works well.
I used this product on my hardwood floors to fix scratches, and it made it look like new. Idk if they recommend this on floors, but mine were so scratched, i had nothing to lose. I used an old toothbrush to help spread the stain into the scratch, and then wiped it up. Just make sure you have the correct color finish. It is an oil, so it leaves a residue, but I tried to wipe up the excess, then mopped and cleaned the whole floor, and that helped. Used about half a can on scratches, but my entire floor was covered in scratches from dogs. I'm going to wait and see how long it lasts, but so far I am impressed.

Quick and Easy to apply
I had never used Watco Oil before, and was a little hesitant, but it worked out beautifully. I used it to finish a spinning wheel (an Ashford Traveller). I was expecting a darker finish using the Black Walnut color, it turned out a cool toned, medium brown, with a slight dull luster. Very pretty.

Excelente producto
El acabado queda muy natural, el tacto es suave y lo mejor es que la aplicación es de lo más fácil. Lo utilice en madera de pino y la preparé con lija 150, 220 y 320.
