DB-TB-M Two Bolt Replacement Residential Pool, White Diving Board Mounting Kit

We had a very rusty bolt on the diving board at my mom's house. To the point where it was unsafe... This kit was AWESOME. A local pool retail store wanted a TON of money to come out and replace the hardware. So I figured what the heck - I can do this - not much to lose. The hardest part of installing it was getting the old rusted out bolt off of the diving board. We had to put a lot of muscle into getting it out since it was so corroded. Nothing a hammer couldn't solve. Once the bolt was removed we just used the new hardware kit.Everything that I needed was in the bag (except super detailed instructions on the order of the washers). But I figured it out pretty easily by looking at the diving base installation instructions on Inter-Fab's website. HINT: the black washer goes underneath the white cap on TOP of the board. The red thick washer goes in between the diving board and the diving base. The steel washer and lock washer goes "underneath" the base. I did use a little dab of the gray anti-seize on the thread of the bolts.The white cap finishes the look and so does the white rubber caps to cover up the nut. It took about 30 minutes to do the entire thing (it would have been less except for the hassle of getting the old bolt off).

Last season, one of the bolts on the board my folks had installed with their pool 30 years ago finally let go. Just recently I ordered these bolts, and found that the other bolt was about to let go also, very corroded and was less than 1/4 inch left in thickness. I was able to clean out the board and base, and these bolts slid right in. The board is usable again! These were the correct length for the board and base, and had no missing parts. Used the anti-seize generously just to use it all up.

My plastic caps had deteriorated and one bolt was rusted. The hardest part of the install was getting the old rusted bolts off. I used WD40 on the bolts by the nuts. I chiseled off the old plastic caps so I could grip the top of the bolt. A 3/4 inch deep socket wrench and off they came. My washers had deteriorated and they needed to be scraped off. The directions and parts list was in the bag. From that point on everything was very simple. Whole job took about an hour. If you need to replace your bolts on your diving board this is the way to go.

One star reviews are typically not my thing. But, if you are going to charge me $50 for what appears to be a $3 part kit, you have to have all the parts in the kit. When the kit arrived I cut off the rusty bolts and set my board to the side. Unbeknownst to me, the money grabbers don't incorporate quality control in the office. Now, I'm over here trying to poke holes in an old innertube for a homemade washer. No one to contact to through Amazon to get a replacement. They request you send the whole kit back. Very very frustrating in a week where I had very little time but tasks that needed to get done. i'm sure other order will be just fine, but the company dropped the ball on this one and need wear this 1-star review.UPDATE: I left a voicemail with the company and they promptly called this morning are shipping the replacement. My frustration has calmed so I can be a little more fair. Happy this kit is available. Happy they are making a good margin on it. Thank you for addressing the missing part.

Fits great - good length for our diving board. Easy to put in place with good directions. The caps fit nicely and look so much better than the rusty ones we had, plus we had lost a cap. I'm glad I found this kit!

This worked perfect for the replacement board we bought. The kit included everything we needed. The only complain wad the plastic "caps" that go on the bottom of the bolts under the diving board. They fall off pretty easy. Not a big deal to us though, since our old one didn't have them anyway. Just cover the bolts with the included oil so they won't rust and you don't really need the bottom caps anyway. Our kit was missing one of the black rubber rings, but I just reused one of our old ones. The bolts and top plastic caps were the parts I was needing the most anyway, since our old bolts were rusty and our old top caps were dry rotten with age and needed replaced.

First of all, this set is not cheap for what is included...however, it is the going rate. The pieces from our diving board were rusted and falling apart. It took a while to clean out the areas and get the old bolt removed, but once that was taken care of, putting the pieces together from this kit really wasn't a problem. The only issue is that there was not a sheet of paper giving instructions inside the set. I had to come back to the page on Amazon to find the instructions. After all, we wanted to make sure we put everything in the correct order. I suggest if you have to replace the bolts on your diving board, you get someone to help assist. Once everything was good to go, we have noticed that there is more spring in the diving board and the kids are having a blast jumping in the pool!

Perfect fit replacement hardware for my diving board. Bought the pool with the house, and sure enough seeing the rust stains under the diving board hardware. Ordered the kit, parts fit perfectly, installation was pretty straight foward. Wife was very pleased with the clean new look. And now the test .... that was three years ago, with a salt water pool .... and three years later no issues. Parts are holding up great. Good to find a product that works, and that LASTS. Highly recommend.
